Yep!! You got it!! and you'll go to the AirTran gates too for departure. ;) (just throwing that in there as a teaser! for fun! not meant to be mean... :))

The first time I did this I went to AirTran Curbside Checkin and asked them if they could print a boarding pass for me because I was having problems with my printer at home and the guy looked me square in the face and told me 'no', go to the SW counter. So I started to leave. He then yelled, "Ma'am, I'm teasing! Please come back!" I had No idea!! I think he felt kinda bad. I laughed and told him 'no worries', but I was new to this so I wasn't sure where I was going and I had only bought my ticket less than 8 hours ago so I really didn't have time to research what to do. He was very sweet and helpful at that point. It's really not hard. Good Luck!!

What about leaving from disney on ME? I talked to disney ME dept and they said to see the airline check in desk at my resort. Since we booked with SW, we don't have to pay baggage fees and I hope the check in desk knows that. Anyone with any recent experience?

Believe me, I would never take it as mean. Thank you. When I emailed SW with the same question, I received the same printout from their website that wasn't clear to me. Can't wait for this merger to be over because it's a mess.

But when you get to MCO, it says on the monorail to go to one side for Airtran baggage claim, and that was wrong, you go to the SW baggage claim area.

Wish I remembered which was correct, A or B. But its where SW goes. And the ticket counter at MCO is the SW one for Air Tran tickets. In Philadelphia it was AirTran.

We are flying Airtran booked through SW out of Philly in less than two weeks.. there are 6 of us...

Wondering how's it been getting seat assignments? I'm so afraid of not getting seats since there's 6 of us :confused3

At 24hrs. before we fly back should we check on on the southwest app and print boarding passes at MCO?

I called this morning. Flying AT through SW. Boarding passes are obtained at SW site, report to Air Tran ticket counter and go to Air Tran baggage claim when we arrive. What a mess :) I haven't even started to think about the seating issue. I guess it is what it is!

There are a number of threads on this board discussing the issue of seat assignments on AirTran flights booked through Southwest. Check them out for more information.

Yes, check in at the 24 hour mark, because that's when you'll get your seat assignment.

I'm confused by your post...it's not making sense to me. The OP is flying on an AirTran flight. Why would she not go to the AT baggage claim area at MCO to retrieve her bags? Are you saying they have discontinued using the AT baggage claim area altogether and all AT bags are now being sent to the SW baggage claim area? :confused3

I would like to know as well!

Southwest and Airtran are integrating their services at many airports. I have seen it myself (such as shared ticket counters). Here is the info for MCO:

You can always check the Arrivals Board to see what baggage claim your flight is using.
