Woke up around 5:30AM and about 45 minutes later we were on the road, heading for Orlando.

After arriving, I rode Men in Black 5 times. The first time I went on MIB, an employee who I have seen a few times prior to this trip said, “Hey! What’s your name? I see you here all the time!!”

After going on MIB, my parents and I went on BTTF. Then my parents left to check into the Fairfield Inn. I headed over to see the Blues Brothers Show. I run into a Ghostbusters Show Groupie who wished me an early “Happy Birthday.”

I then head over to the Ghostbusters Show stage for the mic check. There, I saw another Ghostbusters Show groupie who was with a friend. We talked a bit while waiting for the guys to come down. They eventually did and the three of us each received a hug from one of the guys. The guys in the show that day were, GIR2, GICBH3, GIO2, and GIG2.

Beetlejuice was...well, Beetlejuice. It was so funny. He was telling all the people to leave because it was only a mic check and not a show.

“You’re staring at me checking my mic...” he turns around and bends over. “Now you’re staring at my butt. You spend $50 to get in here and you’re staring at my butt.” (Wording may not be exactly how he said it, but pretty must is the gist.)

Anyway, later, I went to see the Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Revue. My parents were saving a spot for me – front and center (like I am at GB Shows...LOL). I sat down and then it took me a while before I noticed the one groupie and her friend were sitting right next to us! I then saw the other groupie who sat practically behind me like 2 rows back.

Well, I was watching my favorite character, Wolfman, and noticed he looked familiar. During one part of the show, the Wolfman looked at me and we made eye contact for a while because he recognized me too! He then smiled and winked. Turned out, it was a former Ghostbuster (not telling who though...LOL). The groupies noticed this and one said she wanted to shout, “Go Clare!!” LOL

I saw the other two Ghostbuster Shows before we left to hang out at the hotel.

November 9, 2003

I got to the park about 9:30AM. It was overcast and there was a misty rain.

I went on MIB 4 times and 2 of the scores were over 900,000, but still just short of the all 9's.

Then while my parents went on another ride, I ran into the Dark Marauder, who did something very nice (and very neat!!) For my birthday (Thanks again, DM!!).

My parents and I went to the Horror Makeup Show. There was a guy playing Mark James, whom we never saw before. He was funny, but he’ll get better the more he does the part.

While my parents did something else, I went to see the Street Breaks...excuse me...Street Breakz show. I skipped the mic check, even though I saw the car come down towards the stage. I glanced over just to see who was going to play the parts that day. I recognized GIO2 right away, even though he was turned around, facing away from me. I also noticed GIR1 was there, but couldn’t see who the GICBH or GIG were. Turned out it was GICBH1 and GIG2.

After the first show, the Ghostbusters had a Meet and Greet. I walked over and GIG2 pointed to me and said he hadn’t forgotten about my cousin (LOL if you all remember the incident I told you about my cousin and her devotion to just ONE Ghostbuster in particular...GICBH3). I told him what my cousin said...to “watch it or watch out!” GIG2 gave a sarcastic “oh no!!” LOL.

GIO2 then pointed out my seat cushion and said something about my being there with it. LOL it HAS become a trademark!! :p

GIR1 then did some “You wanna start something?!?!” expressions and all (just like GIR2 did when complaining there weren’t enough pictures of him on my website...LOL! What is it with the GBs trying to pick a fight with me?! ;)). Of course, I HAD to do it back (just like to GIR2).

I explained that I had brought my camera and would take more pictures for my website. Then, for a short period of time (well, seemed longer...lol) I stood in silence. Yes, I didn’t know what else to say (if you can believe THAT!!! :p).

The GBs left and GIO2 and GIR1 waved.

After the 3rd show, my mom went up to the guys to sign a paper she designed using various pictures I took from the Ghostbusters Show (was I embarrassed when she showed me the idea? Heck yeah!!). She pointed out a picture to GIO2 as he and the others looked at all the pictures. Even the female employee from Twister wanted to check it out afterward. Lol.

Well, the guys were up on the top of the stairs of the stage. I was down at the bottom, not paying any attention. Then, GIO2 said something and I looked up to see he wasn’t talking to any of the people up there with him. I assumed (and wrongly, might I add) he said, “Anyone else here for a picture?” I noticed a family was standing, waiting, behind me, and I pointed to them. GIO2 gave me a weird look and repeated what he had said. Yet again, I did not hear him, and I pointed to the family again. My mom then shouted out to me, “YOU! Get up here!”

Completely embarrassed, I run up to find GIO2 was saying, “So I hear your birthday is coming up!” (How the heck did I get “Anyone else here for pictures?” from THAT?!?! Well, all I have to say is, they need to turn down the music during these Meet and Greets because you really can NOT hear a word the guys are saying...).

Anyway, GIO2 then asks, “How old are you going to be?” I tell him and he responded, “Ah, Sweet 16!” He then turned to GIR1 and said, “Ask her how old she is going to be!!” GIR1 asks, and I, of course, say 16. Ok...didn’t GIO2 just ask?!!? lol it seemed like they were guessing my age and then figuring out who was right. I’m probably way off, but that’s just how it seemed by the situation.

November 10, 2003

Got to the park a little after park opening. I was writing in my spiral notebook my trip report notes and some employee guy said, “Dear Diary–“ while walked past me. LOL not exactly, Sir!!

Anyway, I went on MIB and the very first time I got all 9's (finally...it was about time I got it again!!). The second time I got under 500,000! I was tired of MIB by then (either getting all 9's with no improvement, or getting disappointed and frustrated for doing worse than I should...lose-lose situation...lol).

I met up with my parents who had checked into the Royal Pacfic while I went on MIB. We ate breakfast and my mom went over to MIB while my dad and I went on Shrek and Twister.

We met up again and my parents went to the Horror Makeup Show while I went to the mic check to say “Hi” to the guys who were there that day. It was the same guys as the day before except, GIO2 wasn’t there. Instead, GIO4 was!

The first show was rained out, but the guys had a Meet and Greet. Unfortunately, there were too many people around, so I didn’t get to talk to them (since I go often, I let others get a chance to “meet” the GBs before I go talk to them). The Twister guy [who was helping control the crowds that day] offered to take my picture with the guys, but they had to leave since it started raining again.

My parents and I went to Hard Rock Café, but I just could not eat. So, I left just after receiving the food, and went over to the Ghostbusters Show stage to see if they would have either a show or a Meet and Greet.

The guy from Twister saw me and asked, “Which guy do you like the most?”

Well, thinking of it as harmless, yet highly amusing (for him) information, I told him (I’ve had many other Twister employees ask me this before, so this wasn’t unusual to be asked. So many employees find Ghostbuster groupies to be very entertaining). He then said back to me, “Well, how is he going to know if you don’t tell him!!”

I was definitely caught off guard by this!! Next thing I know, he walked over to the guy and said something to him. No idea what, but the GB looked at me and the Twister guy shouted out, “I didn’t say anything!!!” Of course I gave a very confused and surprised reaction to that.
Anyway, I got my picture taken with the GB because the one I got with him the day before had turned out blurry (lol my mom has no idea how to use my camera). Yes, Twister guy took it. I think he found the whole thing very funny.

I left and then came back for the next show time. This time they actually HAD a show. When the Ghostbusters arrived during the show, GIO4 ran straight to me, looked all around and asked, “Where’s your seat cushion??” He looked all serious when he said it like it was out of such concern. Why didn’t she have her seat cushion? She ALWAYS has that seat cushion! LOL yeah (FYI - I know you all are wondering why I didn’t have it...LOL. Well, it was rainy and it was already getting dirty from the previous couple of days and I didn’t want to make it any worse than it was. Dang cloth gets filthy too easily. We had just washed it recently too!!).

Anyway, after the show was over, my mom and I quickly ran to Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Revue which had already started. We took a seat in the front, but towards the end of the seating. I recognized the former Ghostbuster again, but he played a different character that day. All of a sudden, it started pouring and a couple gusts of wind blew the rain right on me and my mom. Then, the characters stop mid-song to end the show. The guy who played Wolfman that day said the stage got too slippery.

I went to the Royal Pacific after saying “hi” to the Wolfman (former GB didn’t come out for a Meet and Greet, oddly). My mom and dad went to MIB. I found out we had gotten room 1740 at the Royal Pacific. My parents later told me we were given that room because it was for my 16th birthday! This room has THE best view of the parks! You can see the Hulk, Dr. Doom, Dueling Dragons, Dudley Dorights, Cat in the Hat...even Nick Studios and the top of the Ghostbusters stage over at Universal!

Also, the receptionist sent up a complimentary gift package for me, for my birthday, It included a stuffed Spongebob, candy, mini tote backpack and a really nice Birthday card. It was really nice, and I was more than pleased and surprised.

November 11, 2003 (Dum da dum!!!)

I reluctantly got out of bed around 8:30AM or 9:00AM. I went over to IOA and arrived around 10:00 (from getting ready to waiting on the water taxi...). I took a lot of pictures, taking advantage of the first “pretty day” we had in a couple days.

My parents were checking out of the hotel and we met up at Confisco’s for an early lunch.

I was incognito today. I wore a Universal Studios tee with shorts and flip flops. I wore my camera and a Universal Studios wallet around my neck. A pair of sunglasses rested on the top of my head and I carried my neon yellow seat cushion in a Universal Studios store bag along with a park map (like I need one of those!! :p).

The first Ghostbusters Show was rained out, but the guys came down for a meet and greet. Today, it was GIO4, GICBH3, GIR2, and GIG2. When I first made eye contact with GIO4, I showed him my seat cushion. Yes, I had it today. He commented on how it now looks neon green (LOL, maybe I should just try to buy some new fabric and recover it – obviously our cleaning job isn’t working!)!! I told him it was because of “wear and tear.”

I had the 3 sign the “Birthday Paper” since they hadn’t already. I told them it was my birthday today and the GIG said, “I thought it was your birthday two days ago!!” Whoops! Guess my mom (or me, for that matter) didn’t clarify my birthday wasn’t officially until Tuesday! He asked what I was going to do and I told him I was just hanging here again today. Not a bad thing, in the least!

I got a birthday hug from two of the guys and they all told me “Happy Birthday.” I got my birthday taken with them (Had to! It’s my birthday!)

I thanked them and left. I then realized I had nothing better to do and just walked back to the stage where I would save my spot. The guys were just leaving and the GIR2 saw me again and shouted, “Happy Birthday!” again. GICBH3 then saw me and shouted, “Happy Birthday!” again. Then, GIO4 saw me and shouted, “Happy Birthday, Clare!” again. I waved as they drove away.

I ended up not saving my spot right away and took some notes of some things nearby. But, soon enough, I went back to my spot.

I saw the first show (which was during the second showtime, not to be confused with the 12:45 show...lol) and then went to the Universal Store to buy some souvenirs (hey, I’ve been all these times and never bought any...I might as well!!!). I spent $94.85 after Annual Pass Holder Discount (saved over $22...LOL). Of course, that didn’t include the t-shirt I bought earlier for under $15...but hey, I still have half my money left over!

I watched a little bit of Street Breakz and then went back to save my spot for the next Ghostbusters Show. I was going to meet my parents at Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Revue right after the 3:45 show, but didn’t quite make it in time.

I saw the last Ghostbusters Show and they had another Meet and Greet. This time, there was practically nobody there. A couple girls wanted their picture taken, but they hung back and didn’t go up. Well, I wanted to talk to the guys one last time before I left, so I went up. GIG2 walked over to me and we threw our hands up like “Why weren’t anyone coming up?!” So, since nobody was coming, GIG2 went to get into the car to back it up, but before he stepped in it, he wished me “Happy Birthday” once again. I then briefly talked to GIR1 and then talked to GIO4 a little. He came up and asked, “So today is officially your birthday?” I told him it was and he wished me a “Happy Birthday” again.

I then left the parks to head home! But not even my mom was ready to be back from our trip! Can’t believe we have to wait until Thanksgiving Day to return! Oh the pain!

Sounds like you had a good time!!!!!!!!!!! and a lot of GB time. LOL I'm glad you enjoyed your b-day. So, post some of those pics........

LOL...all in time wendypooh!!! :p :p

Most pictures I'll have to scan b/c of lack of a photo CD, but I'll try to get some up for tomorrow.

Glad you had a good time, Clare. Say, have you ever thought of a career as a teen romance novelist? ;)

Glad you had a great trip and a happy birthday! Thanks for the report!

:bounce: :bounce: Great report! Glad you had a great Sweet 16:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Dangit -- I meant to mention I met: suzi (HM), Laurabearz, Robert Walker, and rocketman23. That was cool. Glad to have met you all!

Great report Fly Fly!!!! Glad you had a good time. Now to plan the next trip right???;)

Yep! Only it's going to be a single-day trip and the Ghostbusters Show will most likely be the holiday version. So that will be interesting.

Then, the following week, I hope to meet up with wendypooh (wendypooh - what day are we meeting up again???) and then shortly after I'm meeting JessicaR (on the 14 of December, right?).

Guhhhhhh! But having to wait over two weeks between now and the closest trip!

How do you out-of-staters handle it so frickin well? lol!!! Some of you have to wait months and months or even a year or more!! I can barely survive 2 weeks!

Great report sounds like a great trip 1 question though do you not do IOA?:jester:

No, I didn't get a change to d anything at IOA except to take pictures and eat lunch. :( Probably would have been different if either of my parents rode rollercoasters, but since they don't, I either have to go on myself, or do something else. Well, coasters just aren't as much fun going on by yourself, so I'd usually skip them for that reason.

Though I do wish I could have gotten a few rides in at IOA...

Great trip report FlyFly. I'm going to head over to your site right now, but wanted to thank you for all of the information. We will be there 12/20, RPR, Club Level... can't wait - wish I did live in Florida. Thanks again!!
:Pinkbounc

HI girly girl............. we'll be there probably on the 1st of Dec. but, I'll let you know for sure soon!!! I can hardly wait to get there........ OH, I forgot, I have something really funny to tell you.............. My two older sons got me a baseball type shirt, and on the back where the name goes.......... they put AIZER............. I almost died laughing.......... it's cute!!!!

I'm glad you had a good time!!!

Does Spidey KNOW you didn't do IOA this time? The horror!

:rotfl:

AlexandNessa - yes...I broke the news to him. I can't say he was surprised per se...but at the same time disappointed with me! lol!!

wendypooh -- OK, be sure to let me know! OMG that's so funny about the shirt! :p I guess you have your own "Barry Hom" and "SpideyHulk" who tease you about your obsession! ;) ;)

Ramie -- your welcome. :) Let me know if you have any more questions...I have lots more FAQ I need to add to my website anyway...just haven't had the time to put them up yet! Hope you enjoy your trip!!

AlexandNessa-LOL!!!!!!!!

I have not been able to sleep since she told me!!!!:p

LOL........ yeah, I've got so much teasing going on over here, I need a haircut........... ;)

Spidey....... it's ok......... I'll get her to ride spiderman with me...... I can't do the hulk........ but, hey at least I'll get her over there!!!! I may have to break her leg......... pulling her from the GB's but, I'll do what I have to do............. so you can get some sleep.......

Don't think I won't fight back wendypooh ---- I WILL FIGHT BACK! :p :p

You seriously wanna take that risk?? ;)

Eh, I know once wendypooh sees one show, she won't mind seeing another one...or two...or three....:teeth: I'll get her obsessed, I will!
