I wouldn't do it unless you were a drivable range, such as Jacksonville to Port Canaveral or Dallas to Galveston. If there's a problem on the flight, you'd still have time to drive to make the ship. Otherwise, it's not worth the stress. Several years ago, there was a lot less stress. We've done it once, flying out Saturday morning after our Friday night wedding. But we left at 5:30 a.m. on a direct flight with two other direct flights that day before noon (which would have still gotten us in on time). As a result, far fewer worries. Now, with so many less flights, there are only three direct flights to Orlando from our home airport on a Saturday to begin with and I'm not even sure the first one would be doable. Definitely not any of the other ones.

It was very stressful. We were sailing with family that left out of another airport and they couldn't figure out what happened to us and were surprised to see us boarding just as they were finishing muster.
