I was a big NO on the flu shots for many many years. I remember in 1990 my MIL had gotten her flu shot right before Thanksgiving. We had all planned a huge Thanksgiving Feast and MIL became soooo sick from the flu shot she could not join us for the holiday. It bothered me for so long after that that I decided NOPE on the flu shot.

2006 My family was planning a two week trip to London and Paris for Christmas and New Years. We started planning in July and as the Fall arrived we all started discussing getting the flu shot because of our travel plans. So off to my MD for the shot and believe you me I really wanted no part of it.![]()
Well it worked out absolutely FINE.No reactions whatsoever from anyone and we all traveled to the UK and Paris and no one was sick with even a sniffle.
