flu shot reactions

We've been getting flu shots annually for years and thankfully thus far we've had no problem other than sometimes slight soreness. This time DH's injection site swelled and bruised a little, however I barely felt the needle. I feel sorry for all those who've had bad reactions.

I get a flu shot just about every year b/c I work with public often in close quarters. I have never had any reaction to the shot other than a little soreness. I am so glad I haven't had the flu anytime after receiving my flu shot. It is so worth it not to get sick.

I am not getting one this year. I am pg, but the idea of a vax during pg scares me. I'll get it when I deliver in Nov/dec.

Last year I was pregnant when H1N1 was the scare so even though I was apprehensive about it I didn't get sick which is good. Just got the flu shot again this year and my arm hurts so bad! My mom got the shot a week ago, her arm hurt that day and then went away, now it hurts again more than when she got the shot

I have had the flu shot the last 2 years and I have been ill within a week of getting the shot. Probably a coincidence.

However, THIS year, my arm hurt. The second she stuck the needle in, I felt a shock go down my arm. It's been over a month and I still can't lift my arm above my head without pain. UGH. I don't think it was the vaccine, but maybe she hit a nerve?

After last year's flu shot, the area on my arm where the shot was given did swell for quite a while, over a week. It was sore, too. Otherwise, all was OK.

I did get the flu, but I didn't have that H1N1 shot last year.

I didn't get the flu shot yet this year. I probably will. I have to call and schedule an appointment. Both kids will likely get flu shots next month at their annual exams. They've never had a bad reaction to it.
