Flowers Please help!

We are getting married at SBP (SO excited!)

I have a few questions about flowers...

I was told I could bring my own for my bridesmaids and flower girl..

Has anyone purchased outside of Disney? Who did you go with? Price? Real or fake?

Also, can my flower girl throw flower petals that we bring? If so do they have to be a certain kind?

Any answers would be appreciated, thanks so much!

S&D brides should have an answer to this question. I haven't heard any complaints about the flowers they use and it's obviously not (and cheaper than) DFTW. Check out a S&D PJ. I recommend Joanne's.

I didn't think SBP brides could have out side florist decor... I would ask your planner about that. Unless another SBP Bride can chime in.

You can bring your own personal floral at outdoor Disney locations like Sea Breeze Point—things like bouquets and toss petals. You just have to use Disney for the big decor, like swagging and altar arrangements.

There are lots of places to get fresh or freeze-dried petals online. I like the www.flyboynaturals.com site because it has a great chart that shows you how many cups of petals you need for what kind of aisle coverage, but I have never used them. They do come recommended by other past brides though.

They have been great to work with and very affordable. A couple of other past Disbrides have used her as well. Saved a bundle on my bouquet and all my wedding party's floral.

Carrie - if you bring freeze dried petals for aisle coverage will DFTW lay them for you? Or do you need to recruit someone? I want my own runner and possibly order my own petals. Thanks! Xx

Usually they won't put anything down if you didn't buy it from Disney, but then you sometimes hear of them doing it for a fee, especially at the WP. It may depend on planner whim, so it never hurts to ask.

I'm using petals by design for my Swan/Dolphin wedding. Their prices are reasonable and they do great work. I'm getting a bouquet for me (garden roses & roses), 3 bouts, petals to line the aisle & enough extra petals for 40 people to throw (9 bags of petals total), 2 flower arrangements (garden rose & rose again)and we're renting 2 of the pedestals for the flower arrangements. The total with delivery and setup is $628.

So I want to make sure I understand.. I can bring any of my own flowers as long as we set them up and they aren't decoration?

I am thinking of doing fake flowers for our bouquets, I'm assuming the only ones covered in the Escape price are real, correct? Does anyone know if I choose not to go with their bouquet since I want a fake one, if I can use that as a floral credit for something else? I'm thinking maybe boutineers? (sp)

And they won't have a problem with my flower girl putting down petals? Will they make us clean them up?

Think of it more as "you can bring anything you would hold/wear": bouquets, boutonnieres, flower girl wands, toss petals...

Yes, although they may be able to do faux flowers for an upcharge.

There is no credit for swapping out anything in the Escape package except photography.

As long as they're real petals, not fake, it's A-OK, and you will not have to clean them up.
