Hey ya'all!

I am new to these boards, having been lurking awhile, and thought I would jump in and say hello, and ask for a little help.

We are getting married at Sunrise Terrace in an Intimate Wedding, and I am not too impressed with the offerings of bouquets that come with. I am willing to upgrade, and conveyed that info to Karen Serrete our WC. She said fine, she would have Rosie contact me. Okay, well, I haven't heard, and I am starting to worry about it. I am super picky about details (the devil is in the details, after all) and while our wedding is very small and private, I still very much want things to be nice, and to be what I want.

My question: Has anyone used Rosie for intimates, and how happy were you with her work? How willing was she to work with what you wanted, if you wanted something different?

TIA!

I am currently working with Rosie for March and she is amazing!! She has been super helpful, i also upgraded my bouquet and she sent me an e-mail with about 30 different options, she also told me that if I find a flower or have an idea I can send her a sketch and a description and she will do it to my specifications, I took my own ideas and ideas from the pics she sent me and made my own bouquet, she is wonderful and so helpful, she also is helping me with many other add - ons and details, when I have questions I always contact her first, she is always getting back with me within 24 hours, but the first time it took her about 4-5 days to get back with me.

If you can dream it she can do it!

Congratulations & welcome! :cheer2:

I agree, Rosie is wonderful. I am sure you will be able to work with her to get what you want.

I am working with her for our wedding in January and she had recently emailed to let me know that she is busy finalizing the October weddings. We are also an Intimate, but we have been very much involved in the details. Sometimes it does take a few days for her to be in touch, but she really is great to work with. :goodvibes

Rosie is the floral/entertainment head. At one point or another, whether its to upgrade or just design something- most all brides encounter her. I have had a great experience with her. She is so nice and helpful. Her email is
rosie.carrabia@disney.com

But as i said- most all brides do deal with her at one point or another so she is very busy (this may be why she hasnt gotten back with you). I suggest writing her an e-mail.

good luck with everything. (Rosie can also schedule your MK photo shoot or your honeymoon photo shoot)..

Whatever you need, Rosie will get it! She is very nice and easy to work with. You are in good hands.

Hey Maggimus,

The email address seems to not work. ?

Anyhow, thank you all for your replies; it makes me feel a little more relaxed about the flowers. Flowers are very important to me.

I talked to my WP and she said to be patient with Rosie; they are working on October weddings now--just as some of you had said! (Dissers are so smart!)

Anyway, I'm sure it's all good, and I will hear from her in enough time for her to fulfill my pretty specific requests.

Thanks again, everyone!

Kim

PS: What is a TAG FAIRY? <sigh> I'm such a newbie...

Quick floral ideas. I have seen some beautiful bouquets that Disney Floral has done for December weddings. Consider adding berries to your arrangement. I think that they are a beautiful touch! Just my .02

Sunrise Terrace will work wonderfully with a Christmas theme (since the WL is already so pretty at Christmas). I had a custom, but I can post some pictures of my bouquet that was Christmas themed if it would help. If my memory serves me, I believe it was $225 (which back in 2003 was the "standard" price for a bridal bouquet for a custom). It was deep red roses (the variety was called black magic) with hypericum berries and crystals throughout. It was surrounded at the base by holly leaves with their stickers cut off. The only thing I would do differently is choose slightly less dark roses. While they looked perfect in person and in the video, in some of my photos they are a little too dark looking.

that bouquet is beautiful!

The e-mail for Rosie is Rosie.Carabbia@disney.com

**In the earlier post I mispelled her last name I put Carrabia instead of Carabbia** Hope this helps!

Hope you get your answers soon!

Thanks, Maggimus! I love the flowers, ead--and your tag cracks me up--Nsynch? :smooth: That's okay, I love Frank Sinatra, and everyone makes fun of me for it. But his songs are so romantic and sexy/sweet. They leave something to the imagination, ya know? Like the old movies. Not all in-your-face with the sex thing.

I am actually getting married at SBP now. (We switched.) We are staying at the WL, though, because it sounds like it will be so pretty at Christmas. I am wanting pink and white flowers. Yeah, I know--not very traditionally seasonal, but I LOVE pink flowers. They remind me so much of my grandma--and I was thinking of pink snowberries for a little seasonal touch, and then wrapping the stems in antique gold ribbon. Sort of a Victorian Christmas look. My grandma used to have a pink and gold Christmas tree. (it was prettier than it sounds, lol) Then I am wrapping an antique gold cross my fiance bought me in a little shop in the French Quarter of New Orleans to the stems of my bouquet.

3 months--can't wait! :goodvibes

Okay, now THIS is a really dorky thing; sometimes I get so excited about the wedding where I will *finally* be marrying the man I love so much, and going to Disney that I can't sleep--like a little kid.

Yep. I'm a dork. Listening to Frank Sinatra is completly cool compared to that. :smokin:

The minute I read your post, I was reminded of another poster's bouquet. I thought it was beautiful, with the pink and ivory. She had pink berries in her bouqet.

Brittany, I hope you don't mind if I post your pic!!! :)

Yep, I can't help it--the songs are so darn catchy that they get stuck in my head! :teeth:

You won't be disappointing staying at the WL during Christmas--the decorations are gorgeous!

My second choice (and I had a tough time deciding!) was pink flowers. I think that will work perfectly with a Christmas theme, even if it's not red/green. In Father of the Bride (the new version, not the classic) she had a winter wedding with a pink color scheme that looked fantastic. The bouquet pictured above is beautiful and I love the berries idea! I say go for it! Plus, Disney Floral will probably have some wonderful suggestions as well for how to incorporate the pink. You could still use some of the crystals for an "ice" look if you wanted.

That's close to what I want, and I love those pins in the stephanotis. I think I may go with the crystals for my December wedding, for the reason you posted, ead. Good eye!

I love most of the bouquets I have seen-but I have an observation/criticism of the rose bouquets I have seen from Disney floral, and it bothers this A/R personality type enough that I would consider using an outside vendor for floral. It looks like Disney does not condition their roses properly (usually a result of not taking take the time--Disney has so many weddings it is my guess that they just don't/won't take the 3 or so days it takes) so that the roses are still pretty tightly budded, and then they start to wilt--while still budded. If they were conditioned correctly before being made into bouquets they would open up slowly, and become more and more lush looking--not wilt from the stem. Plus I like a more open rose--I like the look of the more open, garden rose, something like a peony.

In fact, I may ask Disney to use pink peonies rather than roses to avoid the budded/wilted look I have seen in some other bouquets. I'd rather have roses, but a girl's gotta have what a girls gotta do.

Or something.

Michael Eisner! Would you let your daughter walk down the aisle with improperly conditioned roses?!? Hmmm? Would you? Answer me, Mr. BiggiePants Eisner!

princess: + :bride: + :flower1: =

To be fair to Disney Floral, those pictures of my bouquet were taken several days after my wedding (but it was refrigerated for those days). My wedding was on a Saturday, and those pictures were taken the following Wednesday. :)

Yeah, Elisabeth...what if Mr. Eisner is waiting in the lobby of the WL to speak to me! :furious: ...well, okay, but I expect him to buy me a glass of iced tea, at least.

Ah, he can probably handle a little criticism. He's probably been through worse.

Anyway, I really wasn't talking about your bouquet, or Brittany's either. Honest--I meant I have seen some others on the web that suffer from premature wilt.
