I never really told you guys some of the funny stuff that happened this weekend.

When we went to the mall on Saturday, we were looking at CDs. Dana saw a Hannah Montana CD & I was pretending I didn't know who she was. Sammie knew I was teasing. She said something like 'everybody knows who HM is', I said I don't know if grandpa knows. So as we were walking back to the car, Dana says "Grandpa, I have a quiz for you." in this very serious voice. He says "yeah?", she says "Grandpa do you know who HM is?" and then laughs. He says of course not!

And the two of them wanted to do my nails. They each picked a different color, so I let Dana do my hands & Sammie my feet. Well, Sammie did one foot & said "I'm done!" and she never did finish. So right now, I have one foot nicely done with purple nailpolish. And my fingernails aren't looking that good, Dana only put on one coat.

:thumbsup2 That one will work.

I have this one too

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: We need to get Grandpa hip on things. First teach him to use the puter then he can surf the web for HM..

Hey are you gonna have the girls do your nails before you go in Nov? That will give us all something to talk about. :rolleyes1

I'm back from lunch, we went to Penn Station. I got one of those big choclate chip cookie bars, dh didn't like it he said that it had too much chocolate. :confused3 As if there could be such a thing :rotfl:

 Men I will never understand them. :sad2:

Poor grandpa. He wasn't hip when he was a dad, he's the furthest thing from hip now. Another funny Dana/grandpa story. We took them to the supermarket on Saturday, Dad brought some cherries. I don't like them, almost never eat them. So when the girls wanted something to eat yesterday, I mentioned the cherries. Sammie wanted to know if they had pits. She was telling me how she didn't like food with pits in it, Dana gets up & walks away. She comes back in the room & says, "yes the cherries have pits." I asked how she knew, she said "I asked Grandpa. After all, he bought them so he should know, right?". Then she says, "I'll have some, just give me a bowl & I'll spit the pits right in there!". I had to laugh, I never thought to ask my dad about it, I was debating it with Sammie!

This reminds me. The year I was in FL when my mom was ill, we did manicures every week (someone forgot to tell my mom she was dying...we also had happy hour every day:goodvibes ) Anyway, a few days before Halloween I had the gal do a French manicure..with orange and black polish! Maybe I will do that for the ladies trip. I still have the black polish (they did not carry it at the salon...I had to buy my own)

That sounds cool. Maybe I will do that for Halloween,

I have already bought bright red nail polish for my costume...who knows if I will be able to take it off after Halloween.

So, we did WDW--all 11 of us! No group trips to the parks, but a few group meals that for the most part were really nice.

We arrived at the parks early, and other than the 2 days we did AK, the parks were insanely crowded by noon--and we did the TGM recommeded parks!

The Grand Gathering Safari Celebration was awesome. If that is going on during our visit (may not be due to Tusker House refurb) and anyone goes, I would definately join the group. It is 2 TS for those on the DP. There were a lot of animals out during the safari, and the dinner was very tasty. There was live music and animals (small).

The other places we ate: (on a 1-5 scale)
'Ohana dinner--food 3, fun factor 5
Chef Mickey food 2, fun factor 5
Coral Reef food 5, fun factor 3
CRT food 1, fun factor 3
Jiko food 4, fun factor 4
Safari Celebration food 5, fun factor 5
'Ohana brunch food 4, fun factor 5

We also found the best of the best CS-not your typical burgers. Backlot for grilled veggie sandwiches , Epcot/Morocco for Mediterranean plate, Tusker House for salmon and rice and veggie sandwich, Flame Tree for turkey sandwich and 1/2 slab of ribs, San Angel Inn for burrittos and nachos...

Sadly, I can't think of any food item I did not enjoy!

Deena, are you here? I wanted to tell you that you made a very pretty bride!

Sounds like you you all had a great time! :yay:
I'm glad you enjoyed your choices of restaurants. :thumbsup2

Tusker House will be gone in August. And Flame Tree got rid of the chicken sandwich I liked so I've never tried the turkey one.

Hi Catherine! Never went to Tusker House or Flame Tree.
The only time I ate at AK was at the Bronto breakfast last year.

I went to Tusker house for the first time last year for lunch. It was great. I'm bummed to see it go.
