Flower Power Concerts

Has anyone been to the world recently? How far in advance do you need to get in line to attend the Flower Power Concerts? I'll be going the end of this month when Tony Orlando is performing and I'll have my 87 year old grandmother and 6 year old son with me.

We were there to see Davy Jones this past weekend. We slipped into the first show after the crowd got in and just as the show was starting. First we were standing on the side, but then some people left and we were able to sit. That was Friday.

On Saturday, we got in line for the 8:15 show, at 8 and we got in, and sat toward the upper right hand side facing the stage, good enough seats.

PS. There is a line for people in wheelchairs, and their guests. That was a very short line.

It's good to know about the wheelchair line, although I doubt whether we'll be using it. My grandmother, while 87 years old, still gets around pretty well on her own. If it looks like things will be difficult for her, I'll get a wheelchair, but I'm pretty sure she'll do fine on her own.

Thanks for the info...I'm really looking forward to hitting several of Tony Orlando's concerts while we're there. DH wanted me to take our old video camera along, but I talked him into buying one of the new mini recorders so I wouldn't have to carry the bulky old one.

My DMom, 86 was with us for the first concert. We had had 5 PM ADR's at China, but got there about 1/2 hour early because we were hungry, and that's how we were passing the venue just as the 5:45 concert was beginning. DM found a wall to sit on, in the front near the stage and it worked out fine for her.

I went to two flower power concerts when I was down there a week ago, the Association and Davey Jones. I walked into both and found a seat after they had started for the 7pm shows. I saw people lined up over 90 minutes before the start of the 5:45 Davey Jones show. I guess they really wanted to sit close.
