How do I find our which food are safe at the F&G for those with Peanut/Tree Nut Allergies. Being that they are not permanent stands, wondering if they are providing the info.

Disney has been good with allergies. However, last year when many places provided books instead of chefs, the employees would insist it was safe and then the book would state otherwise. This happened many times. The employees were not trained on this. And one employee refused to take my order and sent me to another line (Cause the other person knew it better). I was terribly disappointed.

I would like to plan ahead with items that my DS can have. He enjoys food and is willing to try new things. However, this past year the items at Disney that he could have were considerably less. And many places didn't offer a Peanut/Tree Nut options for desserts. So I don't want to sadden him. I will just avoid certain places but I need to find the places I can go.

Thanks for your help.

They will have ingredient books. The booths cannot prepare separate safe food and they may not be able to prevent cross contamination, so you may have to select only booths that serve items completely free from the allergen. You won't be able to see the ingredient books until you are actually there, however. Your only option here is to be able to connect with someone who has already been, who has the same allergies, and would be able to tell you which booths to avoid. They may be able to tell you where you can go as far as places that do not serve the allergen at all, but there won't be any guarantee that you'd be served by the same persons when you got there, so you couldn't prepare for the human element.

Anyone with Peanut/Tree Nut Allergies that have been to the F&G this year,

do you have any suggestions for booths / food to try? I will still check once I get there. Just want a heads up.

Thanks.

Gosh, I just went to check (I have celiac so I've scoured the menus already), and I don't see nut-free marked. They have gluten-free and vegan options but I don't see anything about nuts. Sorry!

For some reason, I find it harder to get Peanut/Tree Nut Free items at Disney recently.

No, they don't mark the booth offerings nut free. Either you'll need to locate someone else who has done nut-free, or ask for the ingredient book when you are there. I know you are trying to avoid having to review the ingredients in front of your son to keep from disappointing him. But that info is just not made available ahead of time for various reasons.

I spoke with Disney about my tree nut allergy at the booths for food and wine and for flower and garden. The food is centrally prepared and they can't guarantee there is no cross-contamination in the main kitchen. I was advised to stay away from food, and I do. I have been fine drinking at those booths.

Disappointing since this is the first time we'll be there for Flower & Garden. Wish they could have at least one booth be tree-nut-free. And I agree hardly any nut-allergy-safe desserts to be found at the parks unless it's fruit. Only found two cookies on property that were okay for DS to have and they were the driest, rock-hard unappealing cookies I've ever seen.
