I have an idea for my centerpieces. Please let me know if this sounds funny!! I will be making my MOH and BM bouquets at homw bringing them down to disney (obviously the flowers will be fake). I will only be needing 3 tables excluding the headtable for my reception. I was thinking that with 3 girls in my wedding party I could just have them use their bouquets for the centerpieces (put in a vase in the middle). I am rethinking this idea because if the tables sit ten they must be big. I don't want them to look bare. It might also be hard to have them set up with the girls using them right b4 at the wedd??? What do you guys think?? Are flowers from disney real costly, im trying to save on money??
THANKS

Sounds like a good idea! If you are having a pre-reception (an hour long before the reception), that should be enough time to have someone set them up for you. Goodluck!

I was told by my wedding planner that this was something that couldn't be done because the bouquets technically belong to the bridesmaid who carries them, does that make sense? Either way, I had way too many tables for that. (I did not do a disney wedding, FYI)

In order to have inexpensive centerpieces, I took clear vases (borrowed) and floated rose shaped candles in pink or silver in them. I tied green ribbon around the vase (they had "lips") and then sprinkled colorful wedding themed confetti around the central portion of the table. I used white linens. I ended up loving the look. I hated it until I put the ribbon around the vases. I think it needed that extra bit of color.

Hi Kammie!

Such a cutie idea!! Its so funny because I was planning on doing the same thing at first!!! What I was planning on doing was using my bridesmaids flowers (I was doing silk bouquets from home too...trying to save money on that) and since we are having our reception at Ariel's (very beachy theme) I was going to get cutie medium sized metal (not plastic)white buckets (they look like sand pails - I saw them at AC Moore) and I was going to just take the girls' bouquets and put them in the middle of the white pail and surround the pail with glass votive holders with votive candles. I thought this was a cute, inexpensive centerpiece idea (where the bouquets would just have two jobs...as a bouquet, then as a centerpiece) I was all set to do that, then I saw these adorable cinderella carriage centerpieces for $19.99 that I bought for my 5 tables. I am doing a cinderella theme so this centerpiece was better for my decor. But I love your idea, and I think def go for it. Its a good place to save some money, so you can spend higher elsewhere!!

Yes the hurricane lamp thing is a great way to save money....another elegant and cost effective look:

1. Take a mirror and place a glass bowl on it. Fill w/ floating candles a rose or two . Add petals and votives to the table. All can be dyi from your craft store and inexpensive.

2. Take a platter w/ different size candles (any color) put in center of table, surround with petals and photos of the two of you....very personal and sweet.

There are many other things from dyi pumkins to sea inspired centerpieces you could do that would look elegant AND be cheap...what is your theme/colors?

Where did you find coach centerpieces?? I am having a cinderella theme also. My colors are black and different shades of pink.
