I'm thinking of attending the Flower and Garden Show at Epcot in the Spring. For anyone who has been there, can you tell me a little about it?

Thanks,

Linda

Almost too much to describe as the beauty is so subjective...all I can say is we love it, Epcot is transformed into a flower festival from the entrance all the way to each country...You can just walk and look or you can go to numerous demonstrations of art and gardening even buy art right from the artist as they paint...we love it...Ted

We went this past May and got to enjoy the festival :) I wish I knew how to share pictures. There are the neatest topiaries of the characters throughout Epcot. Gorgeous!

We have been to it before and highly recomend it. Wasn't planning on going this year till I found out about the topiary pirate ship and pirate Mickey, ect. Now I'm planning an extra trip. :goodvibes

Thank you all for your replies. Looks like I may be taking a trip in the Spring!

I have some great photos of some of the topiaries.....sadly photobucket is down at the moment, so I can't get to them to the post.

There is a tinkerbell one in my signature though.

They have some good concerts their too. For 2 years now we've seen The Nelson's who are fab live. They've also had Chubby Checker, Davy Jones and the Beach Boys. Haven't announced this years Flower Power series of concerts yet for the festival but usually have a few decent ones on there.

This is our favourite time of the year to go to WDW. We love the topiaries, butterfly garden, and concert series. We've seen Peter Noone (Herman's Hermits) twice (2003 and 2006).

Oh yes; what are the crowds and weather like at this time?

It's only been recently that I've actually been going to WDW more than once a year and I'm loving it. Now if I could only convience DH to join me on the "side" trips!! ;)

We go every year!

There are beautiful flowers everywhere, and the children's maze/play area is always very special. We've enjoyed concerts, this year we saw Peter Noone and Davy Jones. Yes, we went 2 times, and from Ohio!

One trip was over Mothers Day weekend and we went to the Mother's Day Brunch with DM and a friend's family. The Brunch was very much worth it, but the picture we got there wasn't so great.

Bobbi :)

The park is beautiful at this time; amazing!! My sister and I went in April of this year; the third week; weather was pefect; little chilly at night; but nothing major. There is soooo much to see; we were there from opening and still did not get to see all there was too see.

I have been there for F&G about 6 times, always stunning!! If you want to wade through the links in my signature, quite a few pictures in there. I love Epcot that time of the year. :thumbsup2

This year's festival has been extended - it will open Easter weekend. Normally ot opens later. I have an Easter week trip planned for myself and DS9. I am so excited to have both at the same time. It is truly beautifal. Even my son loves looking at teh topiaries. Well done to Disney on these works of art!

Doesn't it end at the very beginning of June?

I've never gotten to go, but if it's still going on when I arrive, I'd love to take a trip over just to look at it!

Are the flowers just as good towards the end?

It ends June 3rd this year. I saw somewhere that they are going to plant twice this year so it looks as good at the end as it does in the beginning. We were there June 2005 and it still looked beautiful.

My first day is June 2nd! Yes!

Worth a trip imho. Here are two more from the last week of May this year. Flowers still looked great imho. Usually don't have a clue what the flowers and plants are but they did look nice. :thumbsup2
