We enjoyed most of what we tried. The onion tart and frozen slush at the French pavilion was my favorite, though.

I'm going in May so this will be my first time at F&G. I'm so excited! But I do have one question. What makes Violet Lemonade so special? I've seen pics and it's definitely pretty, but is there something else that makes it so wonderful? Mind you, I'll probably get one simply because of the color but I just wondered about why people love it so much?

The shrimp and grits from the Florida Fresh stand is my all time favorite. Usually enjoy 2 or 3 times each trip. This is the first time in 5 years I have not been there for the Flower and Garden show. It is so hard missing it.

Spicy chicken lettuce wrap at Lotus House
Pork slider at the Smokehouse
Burnt ends hash at the Smokehouse
Crabless cake at Urban Farm Eats
Brocheta de Pollo at Jardin des Fiestas
Potato pancake with ham, onions and sour cream at Bauernmarkt
Meatball parmagiana at Primavera Kitchen
Baked chicken with crawfish at Fleur de Lys
Lemon scone with berries and crème fraiche at Cider House

As for drinks, La Vie en Rose slushy at Fleur de Lys and Maple Popcorn Shake with Crown Royal Maple whiskey at Northern Bloom were amazing!
