Does anyone that has cruised recently and used Flounder's have any guidelines/information on using it. We will have our 2 1/2 yr. old with us in a few weeks and would like to take advantage of Flounder's. Does every visit have to be pre-arranged or not....is there a max # of times that we can use it?

Thanks!
Kim

Hi Kim!! I have not cruised recently, but I think I can answer some of your questions (as I have looked into it for my DD on our 11-8-03 cruise). From what I understand you should go to Flounders on your first day and get your spots. You can be guaranteed three spots to start with and ask to be put on a list for another other time you wish. It seems that even for the other times you request, most people have gotten in (I think they call you and say you can bring baby), but it just depends on how many little ones are on the cruise at that time.

Myself I plan to take her for my spa treatments and then most nights at dinner (since we have last seating I may keep her for like 45min, feed her and then drop her at Flounders while I enjoy the rest of my meal.)

I believe it is $6.00 an hour with a two hour min.

Hmmm...I think I answered your question. If I can think of anything else I will post it.

I hope your family has an amazing trip!!

Stacie (ahhhhhh who leaves for the "MAGIC" in two days)

Thanks Stacie - that was what I was wondering - they limited spots. Guess I will need to do some figuring out before we get there what the three "most wanted" spots are and then add to those. I'm hoping we can get him in there most nights. He would do much better with Room Service or something from Deck 9 in the room, then go to Flounder's while we eat. He hates to sit still for even a few minutes! I'm hoping that I can get him in most nights at dinner time!!! and maybe one or two others so we can go to the Spa.

We boarded at around noon and headed straight to the nursery to get our spots reserved. We were on the 4 night cruise, and they allowed us to reserve 3 spots only. They told us after the cruise sailed we could call and see if we could secure more spots...which we did and we used them three times. We always reserved 3 hour timeframes, and picked him up sometimes a little early....and they will still charge you for the full 3 hours. That was fine with us!
The staff in the nursery was WONDER-ful....
You will love it, have a great time!
