Hi all! So what is the real deal with babysitting? Can I have someone to my cabin? Is it really competitive to get a spot in Flounder's Reef? If I have to make my ressie's as soon as I board, does that mean I have to know my exact itinerary, dining rotation and plans before I board? This seems like a lot of pressure. If anyone has any experience, please advise. My DDs will be 4 and 21/2 at cruise time. Is it true that my 4 can be in the Lab and come and go at our will?

Thanks to everyone for your continued help!

It can be competive to make ressie's at Flounder's Reef. They do not offer babysitting in the room. You will know your dining rotation before you board, b/c it'll be on your key of the world card. Your 4 yr old DD will be in the Oceaneer club as long as she is potty trained. There you can check her in and out out your own schedule.

On the 7 day, do they let you make all your ressies at once?

One thing I noticed on the Wonder. Many kids did not cut it and did not want to stay. I've also noticed some recent trip reports about flounders being quick to page the parents?

Has anyone else been in this situation

Fred Ferlap, we just sailed on the Wonder 1/9. This was the first time we sailed on the Wonder, and quite frankly, were a little disappointed with the energy level and enthusiasm of the staff at Flounders vs on the Magic. We felt they paged us too soon on the last night of our cruise, after letting us know DS was crying "off and on". Personally, I think the tolerance level was low that night, since they seemed to be overwhelmed. Consequently, we missed dinner at Tritons the last evening...oh well, I guess you have to be flexible with kids.

As for getting reservations....we arrived late to Flounders, maybe 2:00+, and we had no problems getting exactly the reserved times we wanted...Then again, I would imagine this would depend on how full the ship was for your cruise...ours had maybe 75% capacity...please note that you can make as many reservations as you want at Flounders, which you may cancel w/o charge up to 4 hours in advance..
