Just wondering... Once on board, if there is not a lot of infant-3 yo's do they allow you to book more than the max allowed hours for prebooking??

We pre-booked our max of 10 hours online. Then after we boarded we requested additional time slots and got all of them. We had no problems and this was a full cruise with 1100 children on the Magic to Mexico this past June.

We had out initial 3 sessions booked and had no problem adding three other time periods on a day-by-day basis. We could have left DS there more time but what we got ended up being more than sufficient, and this was on a very full ship.

Basically, once on board, you ASK for as much time as you want (letting them know of any times that take a priority such as a booked excursion for which you need them to watch the children). Then they will leave a message in your cabin the day before indicating if they have the space to accomidate your request.

Awesome thanks for the responces! I doubt we will put the boy for more than what we have booked... but it is nice to know there might be a chance!

Thanks!

Flounders worked out great for us on the Westward Repo. There were fewer than average number of infants on board, and a couple of times, DS was just NOT going to make it through dinner. Each time I was able to take him to Flounders without ANY reservation and they were able to take him (your milage may vary).

I also count our selves lucky that DS enjoyed the nursary. Generally speaking, parents here in the forum indicate that infants older than about 2yo don't usually enjoy the nursary claiming it to be geared more towards the infants (i.e. 1 yo).

We didn't have DS in the nursary often during the repo, but we never once got paged. Acctually, by the end of the cruise, he was doing so good in the nursary, the staff would take him without even bothering to insure we had a beeper.

I am a bit nervous about the boy... he turned 2 in May, and is all boy. I have 3 sessons booked for him. The first is when DH and I have a couples massage booked. We would really like to be able to do this... The other two sessons are in the evening starting around 8 and going until 11. We will see. No biggy if it doesnt work out. But we both really want the massage.

If it turns out he loves it (which I doubt) we would drop him off one other morning or extend our evenings.

Dont know... I have some things booked... a list of things we want to do (or look for once on board) and we do what we do. This is a 3 day cruise... testing the waters.... we will cruise again and do a 7 day or maybe a summer 2007 10 day (if offered) and by then life will be good.

This is a 'get the lay of the land' trip to prepare (and get CC booking window) for the real thing! lol
