Flo's New Menu

Disappointing. I loved the turkey dinner I had on my last trip, and the bbq beans were the best I've ever had.

If they were going to totally change the menu, I wish they'd have gone for a "1950s diner" theme (think different kinds of burgers, traditional comfort foods & ice cream/soda fountain specialties), rather than a "Boston Market/mall food court" theme :(

Agreed -- or they could have taken the old menu from the long-lost Monorail Café at the DLH and reinstated it at Flo's! I would have been all over that!

Me too!!! Great ideas. Too bad they don't ask us :(

They really should ask us, if they had any sense!:rotfl2:

I miss the Monorail Café, and would love to see its menu brought back to life -- it certainly can't work at the Blue Bayou or at Wine Country Trattoria, but it could work at Flo's!

This was one of the places I wanted to eat on my trip because it was "proper" food. I think i'll still eat there because Momma will prob like the adult choices but I'll be having a kids meals :lmao:

Hey, I loved my turkey sandwich kids meal!! And for only $6 bucks, it was quite a deal! I'll definitely go back for another one.:thumbsup2

Not sure if this has already been posted, but it looks like Flo's is getting a new menu?

There are now ribs and rotisserie chicken and two sandwiches: roast beef and turkey. Salad and veggie bake are still there.

Looks like some of the sides are gone, too.

It's at the bottom of this long post:

Thanks for the information - I agree with others that it is disappointing. Flo's was one of the few places that all of our family of 6 could enjoy. There was something for everyone.

JadD75-I hope there like them or better, I miss those ribs so much it was always an extra meal we all agreed to do but now we don't go there. Maybe ill grab fries from there and go to flos for the ribs LOL

That's an excellent idea! I'll be doing that, too!

Now it's just another cheap counter service joint.

Cheap, meaning less uniqueness? - certainly not price.

$11 for a sandwich and a small side as compared to the $8-9 sandwiches with chips at Jolly Holiday :(

It will be interesting to see if it's the same sandwich as Jolly Holiday for that price...

Prices were raised across the resort after Labor Day. Jolly Holiday sandwiches are $9.49-$10.79 now.

I ordered off the kids menu at Cafe Orleans and at twice the price it was more than some of the adult entrees. Sticker shock!

Thank you for the information. Why on earth would a child's menu item cost twice as much as an adult meal? :faint:

I believe the policy is that if an adult at a sit-down restaurant orders the child meal, the adult is served twice the child size portion at twice the child meal price.

Crazy. Thanks for the update.

I've not been tempted to pack in my own lunch before, but they are pushing me toward it!

I was just there on September 10 and was surprised to see my favorite turkey dinner gone and reluctantly ordered the turkey dip. I liked it very much and my daughter ordered the kids turkey sandwich which was also very good.

Are these sandwiches like the ones at Riverbelle Terrace? Those are the best. Very tasty and filling. I just looked at their menu and they have Turkey Dinner and Roast Beef Dinner along with other things.

I usually go for the kids choices because they're cheaper and it leaves more room for snacks :rotfl:

We are not familiar with the former menu, but, the beef sandwich was REALLLLLLY good!!! The quality of the beef itself was incredible, it tasted as though it had been slow roasted - it was tender, AND was a great 'cut' of beef - NO leathery taste. The bun was perfect, so was the horesradish aioli. The coleslaw was COLD, fresh, and VERY tasty. Well worth it for the price. I like good deals, and this to me was worth every bite. I shared mine with my DD, 12 years old, and there was enough.

I was so dissapointed when we had dinner there.

We went on the evening of the 13th when we arrived. I checked the menu that morning to see what DS could/would eat. He'll always eat baked beans and it was still on the menu. Great.

We arrive and the menu was already changed (and they hadn't updated their website-sigh) and there was nothing that he would eat anymore. But he's 3.5 and trying to rationalize with a tired toddler is hard when all he had wanted to do at CA was eat at Flo's and watch the racing cars.

I ordered the ribs and DH the chicken. Figured that he could eat some of the meat, they gave us a bun for DS that he could eat (which was really nice of them) and then figured we'd supplement it with our snacks that we brought with us for these occasions. Well the ribs were so tough and just not good (the ones at BTRBBQ were sooo much better) and the chicken was just OK.

Not worth the time or the money. I was disappointed by the lack of food variety-or anything that tasted good-in Cars Land.
