That's crazy. It's raining in NYC, today, too, but the worst thing that's happened to me was that I opened my umbrella, accidentally, while holding a cup of coffee on a crowded 4 train.
Central FL is getting some of the nastiness that rolled through NW FL earlier this week. The plus side is that behind that nastiness is some really gorgeous weather.
I was supposed to leave for work (Typhoon Lagoon) today at 9:00. Just before I left I saw the notice we were closed for today, which is logical, so I stayed home.
And the storms have been traveling at 60-70 mph, so we are really having hurricane force winds when you consider both the circulation plus the speed of movement.
I live just north of Disney - and the weather has been wet and wild. I must say that I have two fthoughs about it. The poor people who are having their vacation rained out. The rest of us who NEED the rain.
I have seen better weather - and worse. I pray for those who are having their homes trashed by the storm. I hope it is will be over soon.
I saw something like that on Good Morning America today...it showed 1 house completly distroyed, and the others around it just fine.....Hope everyone is safe.
