Hello everyone :)

I recently relocated to Central Florida (Casselberry) in March. Before that I lived in Orange Park, FL for 6 months. I moved to Florida in Sept. of 2004 from upstate New York.

Feeling a little lonely down here in this big state and thought I'd say hello to all you resident Floridians.

My fiance and I are both Disney fanatics and FL resident seasonal passholders. We also have APs for Seaworld and Universal Studios. Looking to meet some new people...please post and/or drop me an email. JakeFlake@aol.com

Take care,
Jackie

Hi Jackie  ,

I'm in West Palm Beach - we are about 2 1/2 hours from WDW (I can make it in 2 hr 10 min on a good day :moped: :cool1: ). We (my DS (6) and I) have the Seasonal Passes for WDW too and I'm thinking about adding Seaworld next yr - haven't convinced the DH that the Big Mouse is really cool - still trying to convince him...but I don't give up
Do you guys make it to WDW often? How's Seaworld? I haven't been in almost 30 yrs!!! I think it's time to go back.

We're heading to see the mouse at the end of Sept - this is only my 2nd trip this yr (I'm hoping to go 2 more times between Oct and Dec). Last yr we made it to WDW 4 times....LOVE those Passes (and living so close does help).

Hi,

We moved down here from NJ 2 years ago. We do not have WDW AP's but have Seaworld/Busch Gardens.

Wish that Disney would do the payment thing like all the other parks do, I would certainly get them then.

I'm right in Sanford, Jackie, we're pratically neighbors!

Would love to get together sometime, just not inside the park.

Hey, there's a nice place in Maitland called An Tobar Irish Pub. Perhaps we can do a meet there?

Hi Polly and everyone else who posted!

I also wish Disney had the "EZ payment" plan! What we did was buy the Florida Resident 4 day passes (they only have 3 day passes now) for about $125 each then upgraded them to FL resident annual passes in December. So we didn't have to dish out all the money at once, although instead we had to do it in 2 payments. Still isn't monthly, but it was a little better.

Since our APs expire in late Sept., this year we bought the FL resident package for a weekend in September which includes 3-day passes which we will upgrade again in December. We're staying at CB for 3 nights in the beginning of Sept. for $700 which includes the dining plan, acommodations and 3 day passes.

I think it's a GREAT idea to have a meet sometime! Maitland sounds like a good place, it's away from all the tourist traffic! Everyone who is interested in a casual meet & greet, please post and let us know and then we'll plan when. Drop me an email or post here.

Hi everyone!

We're in Sarasota about an hour south of Tampa and 90 minutes from WDW. DH, me, DD12 and DD2 are all FL natives!

WE go to WDW about every other month!

Hi,
I recently moved from Panama City Fl to Orange Park. Closer to family :grouphug: and 2 sisters. Infact we are planning a sisters trip (compliments of my DH), to WDW staying at the Grand Floridian. All three of us love Disney. Hi other Floridians.

Hello again everyone,

Ok, so when would you all want to meet in Maitland? The only weekend that doesn't work for me is August 18th - 22nd as I'll be making a trip to NJ to attend my Grandma's 95th birthday party! I'll also be going to see Tori Amos on the 19th while I'm there. So nice of Tori to schedule her NJ concert while I'm there. ;)

Would love to meet you.

Hi again

I will also be out of town Aug. 19-21, flying back to New York to visit family and go to the annual antique show that is there. I am also not available Sept. 8-11 since I will be at Disney's Caribbean Beach resort for the weekend :cheer2:

Sometime on the weekend would work best for me, perhaps a Sunday afternoon? There is one person who emailed me who would also be interested in a meet and she is currently out of town. Perhaps the weekend of the 26-28 of August sometime would work?

What do you all think?

Jackie

That weekend works for me however I usually work until 1 on the weekends and it takes about 45 minutes for me to get back down this way from Universal. I'm not necessarily stuck on the An Tobar idea so if anyone has other ideas, please do share....

I'm in the rolling hills of Clermont, and love it here. I have an AP, and would be up for a meet.

Anne

DH and I are in Leesburg. We have AP's for WDW, Sea World/Busch Gardens and Universal. We are in at least one park a week, maybe more and are always ready to meet other DISers!

Hello everyone

So....we've determined we'd like to have a meet outside the parks first and then perhaps a meet inside the parks some time also?? That way the people who don't have APs will be able to join in too. :groom:

Someone suggested Maitland to have a meet...what does everyone think about that?? And where? Somewhere to have a snack or a drink or something along that line? Is everyone still good for the weekend of the 27th or 28th of August? Or should we try to push it back?

Let me know your thoughts and we'll progress from there!

Take care everyone,
Jackie

I am in clearwater about 90 minutes from wdw. I noticed in your post you are going to be at the park in sept. Are you going to the pin event? am trying it out it is my first. I would love to be able to meet up with someone I know I am feeling a little over whelmed with it.

It is great to see how many fans there are that live so close.

I'd be happy to host a get together at my home, it's a bit more central for those coming from the Western part of the State, about 20 minutes from Universal, half an hour from the AK at WDW, and very easy to get to from I-75, I-4, and the Turnpike. I'm in Clermont.

I've got plenty of room, and we designed the house with entertaining in mind, so plenty of room for everyone.

Kids are welcome, and I've got a high chair, booster seat, and Pack-N-Play if anyone needs them. (Loads of neices and nephews and friends with little ones!) My home is non-smoking, but I've got a canopy and can set up a shaded area outside for smokers with some lawn furniture if anyone needs it.

I work in Clermont, live in Winter Garden, but split my time in between my boyfriend's house in Maitland....My dad is the op manager at mgm, so we get in free to disney and also have AP's to seaworld and busch gardens.

I live in Clermont and work in Winter Garden, how ironic!
