Floridays

We are staying at Floridays resort in Nov. they have 3 bedroom suites and since we have 8 in our party this place sounds great. Has anyone stayed there? I'd love to know how close it is to a grocery store, liquor store, and possibly a Walmart or Costco. Also, how far to Epcot?

I stayed there in a 3 bdrm suite last year. It was beautiful and very spacious. There is a shopping center close by, with a Publix and Walgreens in it. You wouldn't walk it necessarily, but it's only a 2 minute drive. Not sure about the Walmart or Costco. It is in a great location, the Outlet mall is also very close. I didn't drive to Epcot, but Disney Property is not very far at all. It was maybe a 10 minute drive to DTD.

We have reservations at floridays so I was just looking at googlemaps to find out the same thing! I found there is a Super WalMart about 4 miles away. Also a Super Target that is 4 miles away but it's in the other direction, you have to cross I-4, doesn't look as easy to get to. You didn't ask about restaurants but just in case, there are a few places right around the corner - like 0.2 miles - Outback. Subway, and Maggie Moo's Ice Cream (never been there but that sounds fun!!).

Other restaurants I looked up (sorry it's just chains, I have to know where all familiar chains are due to food allergy issues in our family!!):
Applebee's - 4 miles
Friday's - 1.3 miles
Chick Fil A - 1.8 miles

Hope some of that helps you out a bit. I would love to hear your review of Floridays when you get back and any helpful hints as far as what building to request.

also found this thread where someone mentions Publix is right down the street. That was the one of the few reviews I could find on the disboards and unfortunately it's that person's only post. Anyway, it looks really nice in the pics!
