We are headed back to wdw in may. last year we stood at pop and it was great. this year we are trying to save money and would save $600 staying at Floridays which looks amazing. I'm mostly concerned about the shuttles. how reliable see they? are they on a time schedule or do they run constantly? is there a free shuttle to universal too? Ty in advance.

have not stayed there.

it's rating in tripadvisor have always been excellent.

so would go read them and see what it says about the shuttles.

most offsite really require a car rental to get where you want when you want.

We stayed there once. It was great. Converted us to offsite fans (although I like Dolphin a lot which is kind of onsite) Did not use shuttles bcause car is so convenent and easy. Noticed in the AM shuttles were commonly found though, but no idea of their reliability.

My last FL trip I did a split stay POP/Floridays. First time at both and we liked them both but Floridays was just wonderful with all the extra room. We did not use the shuttle,I donot think they run as much as disney's and if you are going at a slower time they may be less. You can probally get a cheap car rental and still save money. My family does not want to stay onsite anymore after staying at Floridays.:)

my only issue with a car is there are 6 of us with 3 in car seats so it may be expensive. then there is paying to park.

That's a full house!

What about Bonnet Creek? Assuming Floridays shuttle doesn't run as frequently as you may need.

I haven't used Floriday's shuttle but have stayed at a few hotels in the area - usually there are a couple of drop off times in the morning and a couple at night.

If for some reason you were to miss the shuttle you are able to use the Lynx bus - it of course takes more time but is not too bad -take the 50 from WDW (Ticket and Transpotation or DTD) then transfer to the 8 at Seaworld/Renaissance Hotel. The fare is $2/person (not sure about the price for kiddos) and transfers are free.

I stayed for several months at a Seaworld area hotel when I moved to Orlando - I found the Lynx fairly convenient so if my hotel shuttle wasn't convenient or too crowded I would just take the bus. So you do have other options - plus taxis from DTD might be affordable - around $25-30 if you could all fit in one I think - you can check the Mears taxi site for fare prices.
