First trip Ina LONG time where we are not staying on Disney property and visiting a Disney park. We are heading to Sea World and maybe Universal this quick trip.
Traveling in Feb with my DH, DD10, DS8 and mother who has mobility issues.
We need a 2 bedroom villa with kitchen and narrowed it down to Floridays or Holiday Inn Orange Lake.
My first choice is Orange Lake but I am REALLY worried about the size of the resort. Especially for my mother. I also don't like how they do not offer any housekeeping, but I like how it has everything and a large lazy river.
Floridays is the same price, the suite is smaller, has a nice large pool and the overall size of the resort looks manageable.

Can anyone tell me their preference?

I have not stayed just at either resort but did stay up the road from Floridays at the Grande Vista in August and we went to Orange Lake to play golf. First let me say that our impression of OL was not all that great. The place is HUGE....it took us 15+ minutes to find the golf course from the front gate. Also, I did not like the look of all the little town house type villas. It looked shabby. Location wise, OL will be nearly a 30 minute drive to SeaWorld and another 10 or so to Universal. I was surprised at how far away it is.

Now Floridays looked absolutely gorgeous. We went past there every day and the location would be very convenient to SW and Univ. Before booking my stay at the Grande Vista I had done a lot of research which included Floridays and it was in my top three. In future I would be very happy to stay there.

Orange Lake is far from Sea World and Universal. Pick Floridays or one of the Marriott timeshare resorts near seaworld.

Thanks. We decided on Bonnet Creek based on the thread on here.
Will do Universal and 1 day at MK.

Given what you posted (related to mom, cleaning, etc) I'd do Floridays and not WBC. WBC is way bigger than Floridays. Floridays does daily light housekeeping and the staff are friendly and location is awesome for your itinerary. WBC is onsite and a pain in the **** to drive offsite in my opinion. Floridays is also almost equal distant.

Hope that helps.
