Floridays on I Drive with no car???

I'd say doable too, although if I were to stay off site, I'd hire a car.

It's got me thinking though, we got free car hire as part of our package (we are on site but doing SW/Universal/IoA) but turned it down because we didnt want to have to pay £400 for two weeks fully comp insurance! Wondering now if we've made a mistake...

You can probably book a car cheaper separately however what about hiring a car in the middle for a week and collect it from the Car Care centre or one of the DTD hotels? Collecting from the Car Care Centre was easy - called them when leaving AK and they picked us up from OKW an hour later :goodvibes

Another one that would not go to Florida without a car - convenience of it is too great for us to be without. I am happier driving to all the parks (yes even MK!) unless we want a drink :thumbsup2

Turning down a free car is rarely a mistake, they are simply not free as they sting you on overpriced insurance, rent thru a UK agent like Netflights or USrentacar (there are many more) and you should pay nowhere near £400, depending on size.

Just searched a random 2 weeks, Full size £264, 7 seater minivan £322, both fully insured.

That's a great idea, we're doing all the off site attractions over the course of a week so that could be a cheap option for us!

That's impressive :scared1:

We need a 7 seater. A Jeep Commander would be nice as that's what we drive at home :thumbsup2
