Hi,

Our family of 5 is planning a Florida/Disney vacation in a few months and are looking for a place to stay that is larger than the normal hotel room. I had run across FloridaLeisure , which rents vacation homes with swimming pools.

Does anyone here have any experience with this place or any others like this one? Or any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I've been satisfied with both of my rentals through Florida Leisure. I liked being able to pick out the specific house on the web. We rent a house when travelling with extended family. It gives us a chance to spread out and socialize.

We rented a home from Florida Leisure in Oct '02 and we just reserved a home from them for our trip this year. I liked that their was a video of each home so you know just what you are getting. I called and asked them many questions before we first rented from them, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The house was great.

We have received excellent service from Florida Leisure. They maintain their homes to a very high standard and are always on hand should you need them. I would not hesitate to rent from them again.

WE have rented from Florida Leisure two times. The first was in 1997 and we had never rented a vacaion home before we were going into it blind. We didn't even have internet access at the time. I called different phone numbers that were listed in the kissimee vacation guide and requested info. Some hwo hwe decided florida leisure had the best prices, so we phoned with many, many, many questions and they were very accomodating. We went ahead and booked with them. Now for the trickey part, they were to send photos etc, but it seems that the home they booked us into was just being built. Well when it was finished the sent the photos. We were the second people to stay in the home and thie first to use the pool heat. Well the pool heat on this hoem was different then the others, this one had a dial similar to the one that are in cars with the blue and the red, so our pool got too hot, the promptly came and took out some of the hot water and put cold in and let the cover off the heat control and told us since they weren't sure how it would heat that we could control our own heat. Very lovely home brand new. It was located in Sunset Lakes and they still have it listed on their web-site. We returned in spring of 2000, this time we were able to pick out the home over the internet(although we didn't have it in our home yet) so I would go to the library and call them and see what was available. We wanted the one we had in 97 but it was already booked. This time we booked on in Indian Creek and it was wonderful. It too is still on their web site. we returned this past Christmas. We however did not book thru FL this time, not that we had anything bad against them, like I said they were wonderful and the homes were spotless, but we now have internet access in our home so we checked around and found another home with one more bedroom with tv's in all bedrooms for less then what we had paid for a 3 bedroom, this home too was located in Indian Creek( a verynice subdivision) The home was nice but you could start to see the age on it ( it was completed in 9-00) We found a dirtly washrag thrown over the shower rod in the third bathroom, the grillwas left uncovered and with used charcoal init, and there was a big piece of styfoam floating on the pool. I don't think they had dusted since the last vacationers were there. the house wasn't really dirsty just didn't have the sparkle like the one's from florida leisure did. the pool was heated with gas and was very warm. The last one with florida leisure wasn't quit aswarm as I like it( but then again my kids say I like it like bath water). We just didn't find anything with 4 BR on FL website with a fence round the pool, maybe if I would have called they could have told me if some of the homes have fences around them. the one we booked in 2000 didn't shwo9 a fence on the web site but when we got there it had a fence around the pool. I would not hesitate to rent from them. :wave2:

I don't know a lot about Florida Leisure apart from he is a member of these boards. But if you don't get on with them you could try booking a villa direct with the owner, a lot of members on the boards do this, I have just booked one at Widsor Palms usingDaystar Villas
There are lots of other sites to book villas as well.
