Are there any Toll boths between the airport and WDW? And if so... how many and how much? Thank you in advance :flower: :flower:

Using the airport north exit, left at first light, go just over a mile on a side road to next light where you take two quick lefts to get on Route 528, you then pay just one 75 cent toll. Exact change not required.

Returning to airport via I-4 East to 528, get off 528 at exit 9 Tradeport, left and cross under, (cheap gas station right there), get into middle lane, required right onto McCoy, just over a mile on a side road to next light and turn right to enter airport. Again, one 75 cent toll.

If you are going during a busy time (like Spring Break) or just hate traffic, you may consider taking the South exit from the airport (follow the RED signs). It will take you to another tollway (417). It will cost 2 - $1 tolls, but there is never any traffic and worth the few extra cents to us. We have been caught in I-4 traffic too many times and it is such an unpleasant way to begin a vacation!

I agree, the south exit and SR417 are a much better way to get from MCO to WDW, especially if you are staying in an Epcot or AK area resort.

AllEarsNet has an excellent driving directions page which not only gives detailed directions from MCO to any WDW resort, but also lists any tolls along the way and even gives options for making grocery stops:

I usually stay at Hard Rock Hotel so this route is much easier and about just as quick as the Beachline or I-4 and is not that much further to Disney.

This route will save you both tolls and there are cheap gas stations along the way.

Take the north airport exit - go past FL528 to next traffic light accross from Dennys - its called North Frontage Road. Make left and follow it around paralling the Bee Line - at one point you make a left and quick right at Tradeport Dr. Continue on what is now called McCoy Road - follow signs for FL482 (Sand Lake Rd) to International Drive/Universal/Wet n Wild or get on I-4 to Disney. You can turn right at Kirkman or Universal Blvd and I-4 is right there.

Coming back on Sand Lake is a bit tricky. Take Sand Lake FL482. At one point you are directed to the south side of the Bee Line - actually Jetport Dr. Go two or three lights to Tradeport Dr and make left (7-11 Citgo gas on this corner)- go past FL528 (Dont go on 528-there will the 2nd toll) to McCoy Rd. -follow McCoy Rd back to S Semoran/FL436 airport access road. Make right and enter airport to rental car return.

I used it on both trips in Dec and it is not all that bad. Leaving MCO is straight forward but returning is tricky. Reality is that I didnt have other than $20 bills and didnt want to break them on tolls, and we had plenty of time. If time is short you should use the Bee Line or combo route as described in OP and pay tolls just in case you make a wrong turn as it is possible the first time you make this route.
