Just wanted to pass along the good news, FLorida Residents will receive a discounted rate on the June 1st 7 night cruise. I believe that is the only date offering this, but I am not positive about that. Unfortunately, I won't be able to take advantage of this, however, I learned so much from this board that I thought I would pass on some knowledge worth having (at least to those FLR's)!

I heard the same thing, and the offered cabins were in Category 9, 10, and 11. Not sure if any more are eligible or not.

I have a question about the Florida resident rate. I asked this a LONG time ago, and got so many different answers, I was more confused after reading my replies. I"ll try again. Does anyone KNOW the details of the Floroda resident rate? For example, I have an aunt who lives in Florida, could SHE "buy us" a cruise as a gift and HER get the Florida resident rate for us since she'd be paying for it??? Or would she have to go WITH us? OR does it go according to each person individually- meaning those in our group who ARE Florida residents get the rate, and those who are not pay the regular rate??

I do believe everyone in your group has to live in Florida. They also have to have identification as proof like a D.L.......When I bought seasonal tickets last year I was able to buy one for me, hubby and my kid but when we got to DW we both had to show our Drivers license as proof that we lived here...............

I have sailed on the 3 day, and in april we are going on the 7 day,
their has to be 1 FLORIDA RESIDENT in each cabin you purchase.

We always invite the Grandparents and one of each is listed in each cabin, when you get on board do what you want, they have to show I.D. you do not have to be a resident.

We called them up the first time and said... YOU have just won an all expense paid cruise on the Wonder, it was still less $$ paying their way for the 7 of us than reg. rate for just our family of 5. And they enjoyed it so much they are going again on the 7 day w/us.

For DCL purposes, only one adult staying in each cabin must prove that they are a Florida Resident. The theme park tickets are more picky and each person has to prove their residency.

The florida resident rate also applies to all sailings from April 15th I believe to May 26th. Only certain cabins, and most of them may be sold out (I believe the 5/11 inaugural is sold out). Also, it is true that only 1 person per cabin needs to be a fr.

It is worth checking out though. I saved around 2000 dollars being a florida resident.

Hope this info helps.

Thanks,
Jennifer Perez

Can somone please give an example of the Florida resident rate? Say a non-resident got a 7 day cruise for $799, approx. what would the rate be for a FL resident?? Thanks

Doulasue,

The rate for my 7 day Magic Cruise was 1771.05 for myself, my husband, and my daughter(6) in a Cat 9 (oceanview) including taxes, port charges and everything. I believe our rate all together was around 599 (maybe less) for just the cruise for the 2 adults and 199 for my daughter.

Hope this info helps.

Thanks,
Jennifer

Is there a code for this? I tried entering FLR which worked for January sailings but not for the spring dates, but I guess that could be because the Florida resident cabins are already booked.

When I tried it for the June 1st Magic, FLR did work. I would guess that maybe you are right about them being sold out.
