Florida Resident Weekday Select Pass - Feedback?

Would greatly appreciate any feedback from Florida residents regarding the "Weekday Select" annual pass. I had intended on purchasing "Discover Disney" tickets as in previous years, but those do not appear to be available this year.

From a price standpoint, the "Weekday Select" passes appear to be a very good value - it looks like they include parking? We (me, husband & 5 year old) live approximately two hours north of Orlando and I'm off every Friday, so our intent would be to go to Disney at least every other Friday (2X per month, maybe more).

Thanks in advance for any input.

Just be sure to check the blackout dates, the holidays are the same as the other passes that have blackout dates, but this one includes the summer as well. Our relatives, who live in Florida, purchased that pass when they joined us for part of our trip this past October. It was basically the same price as park hoppers for the time they planned to be there, and will allow them to go a few other times during the year.

We have the weekend pass and love it. We go when the parks are not crowded. And our Disney Vacation Club points last longer. Email if you have any questions.

"Discover Disney" is now "Disney select" with the usual price increase. It's $56 a day with a 4-day ticket. No park hopping or free parking. Plus the block-out dates.

The weekday select is indeed the best value if you can go during the week and skip the weekends. Before our kids were in school we bought those and were very happy.

My advice is enjoy the cheaper annual passes while you can, as when your child starts school someone at Disney pours over the school calendar to insure pretty much every holiday will be blocked out.

I would try to plan a couple of longer mid-week trips in addition to just Fridays, however. You can often get cheap 5 night timeshare rentals on a Sunday-Friday that work out well.

Have fun!

I break this down for folks on a pretty regular basis. (Note: I only think in after-tax prices.)

The 4-day resident ticket is $222 and change (which it's been for quite some time now). Four days of parking is $80. The Weekday Select pass is $275 and change. The blockouts are the same (last 2 weeks of March, early June through mid-August, and last 2 weeks of December) with the exception of weekends also being blocked out for the pass. So, if the weekends aren't a problem, and you're considering the 4-day resident ticket, the pass is a no-brainer for at least one member of your party. (Unless, of course, you primarily visit with someone else who already has an AP, or someone who has a CM ID, or if you circumvent paying for parking in some other way.)

Also, I know no one asked this, but it's a fun fact: You can buy a 3 or 4 day resident ticket, use a couple days of it on a weekend, and then upgrade to the Weekday Select pass on your way out or on another day.

We are a retired couple who live on the east coast of Florida. We have had the Weekday Select Pass for about the last 4 years. We go to WDW at least 2 times a year and this year it may be 3 or more times. We stay on-site for 4 or 5 nights per trip. We go mostly just to get away from home, and it is an easy trip.

We have no desire to go to WDW during the blocked out times, so it works well for us. We love the fact that it allows up to park hop because we like to stay near EPCOT and we like to eat there. We also love to attend the Food and Wine Festival in the fall.

In addition to the price, another thing we like about the pass is that it allows us to purchase the Tables in Wonderland card, which helps us save on food, including alcohol. Also, since we don't spend a lot of time in the parks, it doesn't make me feel like I have wasted money on admission if we don't want to stay in one of the parks all day.
