Does anyone know of a way to get 5 Day Florida Resident tickets? (one park per day...not park hoppers). From what I've found so far, there are only 3 or 4 day Fla Resident tickets and the only way to get the 5th day is to buy a single ticket (which would be over $100 for just that one day).....or get a seasonal pass, but that would be a waste for just this one time trip since we won't be going back any time soon. This is for September.
Any help would be appreciated! :thanks:

if you can arrange to only go Mon-fri (not sat or sun) then look at the weekday annual pass. if you need the sat or sun then might wait and see if Disney has special florida resident tickets in Sept.

the florida resident weekday only pass is $225 - the 4-day florida resident pass is $209

here are the black out days (most are Sat and Sun)

The following blockout dates apply to the Weekday Select Pass: January 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, 31; February 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28; March 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22; March 28 – April 12, 2015; April 18, 19, 25, 26; May 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31; June 6 – August 13; August 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30; September 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27; October 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, 31; November 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29; December 5, 6, 12, 13, 17 – 31, 2015; January 1 – 3; January 9 – 10; January 16 – 17; January 23 – 24; January 30 – 31; February 6 – 7; February 13 – 14; February 20 – 21; February 27– 28; March 5 – 6; March 12 – 13; March 19 – April 3; April 9 – 10; April 16 – 17; April 23 – 24; April 30 – May 1; May 7 – 8; May 14 – 15; May 21 – 22; May 28 – 29; June 4 – August 11, 2016;

Also, I think Florida Resident Tickets are blocked out for the summer. I don't know if that affects your plans or not. Sorry missed that you were going in September.

You might be better off getting the seasonal pass instead of the 4 day & 1 day ticket. There is a 10% discount off merchandise and also discounts for some dining, tours and other activities. They also just released passholder room discounts yesterday for September which you could take advantage of if you buy the passes soon.

Thanks for the ideas, but the time we'll be there, the weekend's right in the middle of our stay, so the weekday pass won't work . And the seasonal pass will also be over $100 more for just to get that one extra day, so that's out too.....especially since we're not even sure if we'll get to any of the parks on the last day. I even spoke to a Disney supervisor.....they said they couldn't help me. I had hoped they'd give me a deal on the 5th day. Hopefully another special will come up after the blackout days end in August.

I wouldn't count on another deal. The last several years, they've offered the special price on the 3 and 4 day FL Resident tickets in the Spring only. They have only had special FL Resident 3 and 4 day tickets in the last probably 9-10 years. I remember getting a special 4-day hopper in 2004 for $119 in the Fall, but it hasn't been offered in many years.

If you want to spend 5 days there, another way to stretch your park days would be to add the Water Park Fun & More option to your 4-day ticket. For FL residents, it's only about $30-ish and you'd get 4 entrances to water parks, DisneyQuest and mini-golf. You could easily spend a day in Sept at one of the water parks - and the cost for the FL resident option is less than a 1-day ticket to one.

Thanks Claire, but here's the problem. We're getting my BF's tickets thru Undercover Tourist....a 4 day pass & the 5th day is free. We can get mine with the Fla Resident discount, but I can just get the 4 day pass. We want to spend some of the 5th day at one of the 4 parks, but not if it costs over $100 since we'll probably just have a few hours to spend there that day.

Any travel agents have any ideas?? I can't see spending over $100 for that partial day when I'm getting 4 days for just $209. We're staying on Disney property, so would the resort possibly be able to help us??

Doubtful the resort can help.

You are already getting an excellent deal with the 4 day resident pass. That's why you are hitting a brick wall.

You also may find that in the heat of September, 4 days in the parks will be enough. Someone mentioned the water park upgrade for $30. Make that your 'rest' day in the middle. Edit - I see your 5th day is the problem one and will be shorter - After 4 park days, you may not want to do anything. But if you do, you can still upgrade to the water park option last minute and use it for a few hours on day 5.

You can reduce costs by 5% if you have a Target card -buy Disney gift cards at Target and get 5% discount and use the gift cards to buy your Disney tickets.

what days exactly are your trip? Could you do the resident 4 day and then upgrade to weekday after the weekend? (This might be trickier if Sunday was your 4th day but I think you could just do it as you leave)

Or could you lower your BF to a 4 day and add the Halloween party for both of you one night and enter MK at 4pm?

What you're asking for doesn't exist in the ticketing system. There is no 5-day FL resident ticket. So no, I don't think the resort can help you.

I think that's a possibility and a great idea. If the last day of your 5 days is a weekday, you could upgrade to the FL Resident weekday pass, even though you've used some of the 4 days over the weekend. Or just reconcile in your mind that his 5th day was "free" (in reality, it only costs about $10 anyway) and just accept that as a loss and only use 4 days of his pass.

We had already decided that we probably just won't use his 5th day, but if you think we can use the 4 day pass & then upgrade to a weekday resident pass, that would be great! Our 4th day in the parks will be on a Monday, so that's definitely worth a try. Would we just go to guest services in one of the parks? Thanks for that idea.....well, as long as it's not another $100 or so.

(And I know that we're already getting a great deal.....that's why it would be crazy to spend over another $100 for just a few hours).

Thanks again for the idea! :tigger::mickeyjum:donald::goofy: (And if we can't do that, we're fine with the 4 days).

Thanks.....we're not interested in the water parks, but the gift card is a nice idea. Do you know if you can also buy tickets from Undercover Tourist with those gift cards?

And oh yeah....'not worried about the heat....I live in Miami & I'm used to it. :flower:

Yeah, no Florida resident ticket discounts in the summer unfortunately. That's what pushed me to give in and just get the AP

No. You can't use a Disney gift card with Undercover Tourist. They aren't Disney. They just sell Disney tickets.

And the upgrade on Monday after you use the 4 day tickets over the weekend should work.

I would not count on this working. If the ticket has been used for weekend days, you may not be allowed to upgrade it to a weekday pass. I would be very surprised if you will be allowed to do this.

Actually, yes you can do this. I have recommended this to friends (other FL residents) and they were able to do it. Also, when we went to WDW for my 40th birthday (which is 1/2), we had regular 5-day tickets that we used 12/31, 1/1, 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4 and on 1/4, which was the first day after the Christmas black-out period, I was able to upgrade our 5-day tickets to FL Resident Seasonal Passes, even though the first 4 days were used during a black-out period. You just can't upgrade on a day when the ticket you're upgrading TO would be blacked out. In other words, you can't upgrade to a weekday pass on a Sunday, and I couldn't do our upgrade of our tickets until the black-out period ended.

We're going to enjoy the 4 days & if we are able to squeeze some more time in on the 5th day, we'll definitely try to upgrade. I've gotten seasonal passes in the past, but this will be our only Disney trip for a while, so it doesn't pay to get that this time.

Thanks again for all the replies! :flower1:
