My family and I have out-of-state APs, but we want to invite a friend to join us for an upcoming trip. The friend is a full-time on-campus student at a Florida university (although the permanent residence is out of state).
1. The Universal website seems pretty clear that a college student ID counts for residency purposes, and buying the friend the $199 FL resident ticket that's good through Dec. 31st certainly seems to be the best deal for me. Has anyone run into fine-print issues with this ticket that I'm not seeing?
2. When I look at purchasing the ticket, the website offers me mobile ticket, print at home, or will call options. Is there a better choice for our situation? I assumed we'd have to do will call for the friend to show ID -- if it's printed or mobile, does the ID check just happen at the gate? Or will we just be told to go to will call regardless? I have all my family's mobiIe tickets in my account, so mobile is my default, but I'd like our friend to have their own to keep in their account. So maybe paper would be best?
3. Finally, does anyone know if the $199 ticket will be sticking around for a while? It sounds that way, but I don't want to wait on buying and suddenly miss out.
Thanks for any thoughts!
