Florida Resident Ticket... for child not in FL

Can a child get a Florida Resident Ticket.

We are going to Disney next month. My family has a season passes (DVC Owner but lives NOT in FL) and we have a friend coming. He is 11.

I have a friend that lives in Florida who is traveling with us and she suggested buy him a FL ticket as is is much cheaper. She will be with us but might not be right when we walk into the park (Meeting us that day for the 4 day stay)

Can she get him a Florida Resident ticket? I am not sure how it works since she is going and he is party of our group. Is this even acceptable?

Not trying to do something wrong just trying to get the cheapest possible way for his ticket since he is joining us.

We’ve always had to show id to get the FL resident tickets. I’d assume if it is just a minor getting a ticket they’d want to see parent’s id.

An adult with a Florida ID would have to be present with the child at the purchase (in person) or activation (if bought online) of the ticket.

Some CMs will sell a FL ticket for a minor child without them being present, but the "letter of the law" is that we're supposed to see them, especially since at age 11 this particular child is a "Disney Adult."

This is how I understand the rule as well. I have helped a few friends coordinate this type of purchase with Grandparents living near disney.

The Florida Resident 4 day pass would be a good savings for you. I *think* it can be purchased online by the Florida Resident and linked to he account for FP but has to be picked up/activated at guest services before use (similar to an AP)...but you should confirm that as well.
