okay finally moving to Florida. got my home and hopefully closing and moving at end of this month.

right now have a DVC annual pass - but with all the different options - which is better

annual pass
seasonal pass - no parking
weekday select pass - no parking - this is definitely looking good
epcot after 4pm - no parking just Epcot.

so other florida resident who are DVC members too - which do you do?

do you just stay with the DVC annual pass or florida resident annual pass - or do you go for the less expensive other ones?

We have FL Resident Annual Passes as we don't want to be limited to when we can go.

Currently the FL Resident AP is $20 cheaper then the DVC AP.

We have Florida Resident Seasonal Passes this year, but in the past have had Florida Resident Annual Passes. What makes our decision between the two is if we plan to visit during the Seasonal blackout time periods.

Right now we have full annual passes as we have 2 trips planned for the summer but many times we just get seasonal passes if we have no plans to go in the summer. I am thinking we may get at least 1 AP so we have parking when we move back to Seasonal passes but I will have to look at our travel plans to see.

We only go twice now since the kids are teenagers (too many other obligations) so we no longer do AP's. We have always preferred to do the parks during the week, too crowded on week-ends so we buy the $169 Florida Resident Weekday Select passes (it is a Park Hopper) and Fl Resident Waterpark Annual for $99.95 (any day incl week-ends). Saves us $220 per person, instead of AP prices or FL Res. AP's. THis works for us.

Great idea!! :goodvibes You just cant beat the Waterpark AP! We are not residents, but for years I have been using a combo of the DQ/WP AP (Anyone can buy) and MYW tix and it works great. We have a variety of things to do everyday if we want to and we are not spending 2K a year on Premium AP's.

Congratulations Spicey on your move!!:wizard:

thank you

so the resident weekday select is a park hopper (was not sure) so if the park of your choice is to crowded you can go to another one.

boy really considering that one - at least for next year.

thanks again.

We have Florida Resident Seasonal Passes this year, but in the past have had Florida Resident Annual Passes. What makes our decision between the two is if we plan to visit during the Seasonal blackout time periods.
That's us in the past, with the seasonal pass the last two years. This year I think we are going to get the weekday pass. We'll probably look at some alternatives like Sea World or Universal for the weekends.

Not sure yet, but I have to decide soon because we're only a couple of weeks away from our next trip.

We normally just have the seasonal since neither of us likes to go during high crowd level times. That said, we did upgrade to the Annual last year since we decided to go for NYE and it cost less to upgrade our seasonal over purchasing tix for the 2 days that were blocked out.

We love the weekday/seasonal pass. We usually visit the parks during the week because of smaller crowds, and we definately don't go during the blackout times because of the huge crowds! Now that I've professed all of that, of course, we will be heading over the week before Christmas this year, which is blacked out, so I'm not sure what we'll get...Probably the 3 or 4 day resident pass. Any of them are GREAT deals when you glance at the regular prices listed on the signage above the ticket booths!

so you could get the weekday pass and just get a 10 day park hopper w/unlimited time - for the times when you might want to go during a block day(s).

that would be expensive the first year - but after that it would be reasonable unless you found yourself going to the park several days each year during block off.

thanks everyone!!!

gee now wish had waited to buy annual pass for this year.
