OK, maybe I'm just not seeing it but is there a code for Florida Resident room only for Oct - Dec? I keep seeing people mentioning it but I can't find a code anywhere...

Thanks!

I don't think there was one...First, Visa Code, then A/P code, now General Public...

Well, I can sort of answer my own question. I just got off the phone (after an hour wait) and asked for the Florida Resident rate. There is one and it was released this morning. I didn't get the code but there is definitely one. Unfortunately there was no availability that I could use..:sad1: .

Florida Resident Room Only Code is: FEY

Just got quoted $129/night plus tax for POR for 11/23-11/25 so it's $5 higher than the AP Rate.

I called at 7am and got the FEY code too. I posted about it in the October code watch thread. Going Oct 13-17

No help to me. I was quoted $129 plus tax for CBR (more than I want to pay)

and then CSR (no standards left only king) at $159 per night plus tax.

So then I inquired about POP since that is where we are currently booked with a AAA discount...so I wanted to see if we could do better with this FEY code...and it was the same exact rate.

So odd. I also think it is weird that no web site has published this Fl Resi code yet. Even the CM thought the amounts sounded a bit high. She especially though the POP rate was odd since it wasn't cheaper than AAA.

I am going to keep my eyes open come tomorrow to see if anything else comes up.

I posted about the FEY code earlier and what my experience was like this morning. Here is what I found on the mouse"saving" website:

I am on hold with WDW again just to double check. They took my call after only on hold for a minute! The CM is SUPER surprised that my AAA rate is the same as the FL resi code rate. She is checking with guest relations and has me on hold. If anything changes, I will edit this post or post again.

I found this on the WDW website under Florida Resident deals. The codes are a little different than the ones I've seen so far:

Maybe this will help someone? :confused3

The CM I spoke to believes that I should be getting $23 off the standard room rate. She was on hold with GR, while putting me on hold. Super nice CM. She took my phone number and said she would call me back with the info because she didn't want to keep me on hold for so long. How nice is that? Let's see if any of that famous MAGIC can come my way! hehe :wizard:

Yeah, I was hoping for my dates but I'm checking out on Oct. 21 so no deals for me. I'll stick with my Swan teacher's discount!

Not having any luck at all...this just became available at 7 AM right? I guess I should have been up. I feel like I was sooo on top of things before and now I have just lost my touch.

Looking for a discount on my 10-24-10/27 AKL Standard Room Club Level room.

Talked with CRO... FEY is correct. There was some talk that it might have not been entered into their computer systems correctly. It is just odd that the time I am going comes out as the same rate as AAA. The CRO's I have talked to have said they have NEVER heard of this. The only way I can get the cheaper rate difference is to have had a booking in value season.

I really am sad that this FL code is not nearly as good as what it has been in the past. I guess I am staying at POP with my AAA and that is that.

At least I am going to WDW!

I dialed CRO at 7:04am and was on hold for 40 minutes. Spoke with a super nice CM. Here are the rates for FL residents (I only inquired about deluxes):

GF GV: $365.00
Poly GV: $325.00
YC Water View: $370.00 (no std. avail.)
BC Std.: $289.00 (no water avail.)
CR Garden: $275.00
CR MK: $375.00 (no Bay Lake view)

Just checked mousesavers - the rate I was given for Std. BC is $30.00 higher than the posted regular season rate. On hold for CRO now.

Travel dates: November 3 - 7

I booked the BC since we will be attending 2 events at Epcot F&W Fest (plus an 8:30am breakfast with the Princesses at Norway). I am still debating about changing to the GF or CR Magic Kingdom View:confused3 .

These rates are room only.

They are higher than I was hoping for, but what can a girl do:confused3 ?!!

Just got off the phone with CRO.

I ended up switching my package to the "public" code. Rate was $1,334.82 (vs. FL resident rate of $1,300.52) BUT the "public" code includes 1 day passes for 1A and 1C. Everything else remains static.

Also, this CM told me that she can't price out the rates per night, she must price them out for the entire stay. She couldn't tell me where the CM I spoke with this morning got the nightly rates:confused3 .

Wish they would make their system a little easier to understand:confused3 .

Are these really the rates? If so, talk about disappointing. Are they even discounted at all? :surfweb:

What about the $145 for AKL posted above?

I did a brief analysis. It appears they are slightly discounted (i.e. $365.00 FL rate vs. $425.00 rack rate reg. season at the GF).

I still can't figure out how the FL res BC rate is higher than the "regular" season rack rate posted on mousesavers.

I have an exam tomorrow and had to finally throw in the towel. I think I'm going to scrap our November trip. If it was an amazing deal, then we'd go. But once I figure in all the OOP expenses, it will just be too much $$.

IMHO they are making it too confusing for folks to figure out their prices. The second CM wouldn't even give me a price per night. Like it is top secret info or something:rotfl2: :rotfl2: .

It seems like there are dozens of varieties for the rates - weekend vs. non-weekend, value vs. regular vs. holiday season, resort / room type, category of deluxe, not giving out the price per night, discounts that are higher than rack rate, dining vs no dining, etc., etc.

Am I wrong in thinking that no code should ever be higher than an advertised rack rate? Either Mousesvers is wrong, or there is a bug in the Fl Res rates that were loaded into the Disney system. Something tells me Disney didnt load them correctly.
