Does anyone know why Disney is not offering Fl Res rates for Category 11 and Category 10 for this September? I got an email from all seas travel but it only offers Category 8 and up.
Still a good deal, but we have friends that want to go and want an even better deal....

From what I can tell, it looks like the lower categories are already booked. They are trying to fill up the other cabins. I was able to upgrade from a 10 to 6 for only $40 more.

I agree. It would appear stateroom categories not being offered for the disounted rates are all booked already. Seems the only categories they are offering are the ones that are available when looking online.

These rates are awesome. I went from a Cat 8 to a Cat 5 and actually saved 220 dollars. I am really happy...

:earsboy: My brother is in the Navy and my Mom lives in Pensacola. He tried the Florida discount through USAA (a military travel agency), and they told him on JULY 1st that everything was already gone....how? I have no idea...go figure....

ANYWAY....they decided to call DCL directly, and they found out that the Florida resident's discount was actually greater than the military discount...another GO FIGURE....

ANYWAY....on one of the websites, I think it was Mousesavers, it said Category 9 and up, but we were in a Cat. 9 to begin with. He got us moved up to a Cat. 6 and saved us $200. We are so excited! We went from Deck 2 to a balcony room and for $200 less.

He also got two rooms instead of the one he had booked for $500 less.....if your travel agency tells you one thing, I would say call DCL directly because they will dig and dig and dig to try and accommodate your needs/wants! Good luck in finding a cheaper deal for your friends!

I would love to go in Sept,. but am booked for the non discounted crusie in October (can't justify 2 cruises that close). Hope they come out with other good rates later.

I called DCL on the night that I received the email and was told that the only thing available was a Cat. 6 but it was like 2200.00. Then I called back a few days later and talked to someone who knew what they were doing and I went from a Cat. 9 to a 6 and saved $120.00.

MarcyIn Florida - I just called DCL and asked for the Florida Resident Rate, you can't do it online.

I can't remember if there is a code, but you can check out www.mousesavers.com. I know the military discount has a code (MIL), but I can't remember if I saw one for Florida.

If you call DCL, they will work hard with you...and BTW....just on the off chance, I e-mailed Dreams Unlimited, and they sent me a quote today for $50 cheaper than what we got with DCL on the phone!!! Go figure! (They are having some rebates going on this week.)

Does anyone know if there are usually Fl resident rates for the first part of May? I dont remember seeing any this year. I did get the email about the above mentioned discounts. We sail out next May on the 4 day wonder and I'd love to see a discount offered!! Thanks! :D

We just booked through DCL and got a great deal on a Cat 9 for September -- I think they have a lot of Cat 9s available.

Whoo hoo! :Pinkbounc :earseek:
