I know this has been asked before, but just to clarify.

How many rooms can a Florida resident book at the discount rate? Our trip was originally supposed to be my sister and I but now it looks like we have 3 hanger ons. I have a room booked at Pop for my sister and I but now it looks like we'll need 2 rooms.

I'm fairly certain I read somewhere that you are only allowed to book 1 room, which I guess it means we are put out because we are a family of 5.

My parents and I all own the condo I live in, and my mother does come down every month, so maybe it would behoove her to get a Florida only driver's license.

Sorry for the rambling and thanks for any help.

They, unfortunately, have changed it to where a FL resident can only book one room at the FL resident rate.

When did they change it? Seems silly to me. We are a family of 5, what are we supposed to do? And that's not including my other brother and his fiance.

It went into affect this year along with AP holders only being able to book one room at the AP rate as opposed to previous years when we could book up to three rooms with the AP rate, and along with them doing your resort rate per night and no longer based on which season you check in.

If you have two adults in your family that are FL residents then you can book two rooms with a FL rate, they just would have to be on seperate room ressies. If not you might want to look at POR Alligator Bayou section which sleeps five, most of the deluxes have std. rooms that sleep five, the ASMu Family Suites, FWC Cabins sleep six. If you are looking at having seven in your travel party you could look into reserving (either through CRO or renting from a DVC member) a two bedroom villa which sleeps eight, or you'd have to get two rooms again hopefully with at least two adult FL residents.
