My uncle lives in Florida, and as an anniversary gift he wants to help us with our Disney trip. He would like to see if he can get us a discount because he lives in Florida, (actually about 20 mins from WDW) but he doesn't know if he is allowed to do that, and if he would actually have to stay disney as well in order to give "this gift".
So basically I am asking if there is like a code for those who live in Florida get that he could make the reservations to get his discount and yet put it in our names. Or if you book the trip as a resident do you have to show a FL ID at check-in to prove you are a FL resident in order for it to work? --- meaning someone couldn't give this as a gift.
I just want to say before I get flamed or anything, we aren't trying to cheat the system or anything, or cheat Disney, my uncle thought that maybe this could be a gift that he could give us, like to get us a discount instead of just giving us money towards the trip. If it isn't possible for him to do that, let me know so I can tell him, but if it is possible for him to give this gift let me know how he can do this. Also he won't be paying for the trip so we would be putting it onto our credit card not his.
I'm guessing this is not a possiblity, but he wanted me to look into it and I figured you guys would be the best people to ask!
