Hi. I have a question about the Florida Residents special rates.

My parents are retirees with a second home in Florida where they stay most of the winter. They still consider Pennsylvania their primary residence.

I saw in the eligibility requirements for the Florida Residence special rates that a person can show a utility bill with a Florida address along with a picture ID as proof of residence.

Does anyone know if it's okay if the picture ID is from another state, and if so, is there a limit to the number of rooms they can reserve at this rate??

Thanks!

I've been told that when you check in you are required to show a Florida drivers license. I was hoping my inlaws who live in FL could book my reservation but since they are not going to WDW with us, it wasn't possible. Of course since Florida is your parents second home, I would think they would be able to receive the FL resident discount. Maybe you should call Disney and verify.

Hi, Last year we tried showing our utility bill, phone bill and insurance bill for our Florida residence and it didn't work without a lot of debate between ourselves and a manager. We did show our licenses to prove that we were the names on the utility bills as well and that still didn't fly with the CM. Finally, they gave in because we made such a stink about it and said it didn't say what you needed to prove residence. I guess what we didn't have was a Florida ID or driver's license. We will this year however! Our primary residence is in NJ and we keep that as our state for our licenses (because I don't want to test again) so we'll just go for our Florida Id's. Good luck but I guess it's all whom you are dealing with!

Proof of Florida Residency...you must provide any one of the following.

# Florida drivers license.
# Florida State-issued ID card (must have Florida address)
# Current utility statement with your name and Florida address
along with a corresponding picture ID
# Florida voter registration card with corresponding picture ID
# A college ID for a Florida college
# Florida-based military ID

Not sure why someone would try and prove Florida residency with an out-of-state drivers license.

After you prove residency with utility bill you need picture ID just to prove who you are...picture ID could be from work place but not one from a bussiness not in Florida....some credit cards now have pictures many other ID are avl...because not everyone drives.:D

Ksc37: as a Florida resident you may have 3 ressie (3 rooms)
