Florida Resident AP & FP+

We're going to WDW with my parents in November. She has her reservation booked (3 nights at POP w/ 1 day Park Ticket). They only got one day because they still have a non-expiring park hopping day left. Anyway, they are snowbirds - well, were anyway. They are changing their residency to Florida in a week or 2. She called in and they told her to just keep the reservations as they are and then when she gets there, she can upgrade using both her passes towards her Florida Resident AP.....

Question is: We are doing our FP+ choices and I'm wondering once she upgrades to their AP's, will those FP+ schedules still be valid?

The FP+ selections should be unaffected by the upgrade.

Can a used NE ticket be upgraded to a FL resident pass?

Generally you only have 14 days to upgrade a MYW ticket after it is first used.

The fastpasses are linked to the person, not the ticket. The tickets only impacts how many days of fast passes you can attempt to schedule. If you can upgrade the tickets, your fine. as PP mentioned, I'm not sure that ticket can be or if it's worth it. It's been used so your renewal date would be when that ticket was first purchased which is not within the last year if it's a non-expiring.

Thanks - I guess I never even thought about it. She mentioned she had it and the guy told her to just apply it all to the AP. He may have been just talking about the one on the reservation already though! I'll give her a heads up in case she wants to call and check it all out. Glad to know that the FP's won't be affected though!

She will only be able to apply the ticket on the reservation to the AP- so it will give her about $100 towards it. The non-expiring tickets will have to be used at another time- she could choose to upgrade to season tickets instead of full year tickets and use the non-expiring tickets when the pass is blacked out, or they can save the non-expiring passes to use at some future date- maybe if they only want to go over for a day or 2 between APs.
