Does anyone have any info on Florida Resident annual passes. I know disney discounts for fl resident. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Last time I checked, there was a link on Disney's web site for Florida Residents. You need to choose the WDW link and then somewhere under there it had all of the info. Also, WDWInfo.Com has a lot of information / pricing on it as well.

Also don't forget the Play 4 Days passes, good now through June I beleive.
Best deal ever....4 days of park hopping for $109

My parents just bought Fl resident seasonal passes for $199. They come north in the summer so it's perfect for them.

Where can I find more information on these passes?

Do Florida Resident passes go through a separate gate at the parks? Do my teenagers who go in the parks at different times as us have to carry their Florida ID to get in?

We enter the Parks just like every other guest, you will have to use the Finger scans.
In early 1996, Disney began a new system to identify users of annual and seasonal passes. Abandoned was the barcoded laminated photo ID pass in favor of a new mylar paper one. This new pass had no photo and only contained minimal visual evidence of ownership - your name and the expiration date of the pass. What was new was the magnetic strip on the back.
This magnetic strip stored all of your pass information that the previous photo one had plus it would store one new piece of information: your biometric finger scan.
This admission system has nothing to do with your fingerprints. It scans your index and middle fingers and uses a geometric formula to come up with a number that will identify your fingers. The calculated number is apparently something that is not totally unique, but is statistically significant in identifying you.
All WDW annual passes, Florida resident's annual, seasonal and specialty passes ("Play-4-Days", etc.) and other selected admission media such as extended admission passes sold in select European and Asian markets.
Does everyone that has one of those passes have to use the finger scan system?
Yes and no. Finger scans are not required for any child passes for children under age 10. Nor are they required for handicapped people who cannot use the finger scanners. If you personally prefer not using the finger scanners, a photo ID can always override the use of biometrics. Just present the gate CM a photo ID and be admitted without using the scanner.

Disney likes for the older (teenagers) children to have their own ID when my nephew reached 15 they requested that he show ID I said, "Well he isn't old enough to drive yet"...he said "I have my school ID with me so he did have ID, with photo"

fsubigdogs,
While the Play-4 is a great deal..it isn't as good as the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass:

Play 4 Days Pass:
Enjoy four* days in the four Disney Theme Parks for just $109 (plus tax). Your Disney's Play 4 Days Pass will let you hop around the Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney-MGM Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park any four days* from January 4, 2004 until June 4, 2004. Proof of Florida residency for each adult is required for purchase and use - see guidelines below. Then play any four days you want, from date of purchase through June 4, 2004.*

Florida Resident Seasonal Passes:
Enjoy all four Theme Parks during selected times of the year. You can even go from Theme Park to Theme Park on the same day. It's our lowest-priced option for enjoying all four Theme Parks. Proof of Florida Residency for each adult is required for purchase and use (see details in More Info).
Florida Resident Seasonal Pass (Ages 10 and Over) 189.00+tax
Florida Resident Seasonal Pass (Ages 3-9) $161.00+tax

A Seasonal Pass entitles you to admission* to:
Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park
Except the following dates:
April 3, 2004 - April 15, 2004
June 12, 2004 - August 19, 2004
December 18, 2004 - January 1, 2005

*Except for activities/events separately priced.
You also get:
The exclusive "Mickey Monitor" Passholder newsletter
Special offers on Walt Disney World® dining, merchandise, backstage tours, and much more!
When you order the Seasonal Pass, you will receive an exchange certificate in the mail. Redeem the exchange certificate for a Seasonal Pass at any Walt Disney World® Theme Park ticket window by presenting the exchange certificate and valid photo ID. The Seasonal Pass is valid for 365 days from exchange certificate redemption.
Proof of Florida residency is required -- you must provide any one of the following:
Florida driver’s license
Florida state-issued ID card (must have Florida address)
Florida voter’s registration card with corresponding picture ID
A college ID for a Florida college
Florida-based military ID

I wholeheartedly agree with the previous poster. If you live in Florida, and you can make it to Disney more than 4 days a year, the Seasonal Passes are far better deals than the Play 4 passes. You can park hop as much as you like, plus you get admission to all the parks...what, about 300 more days per year? It's really a great deal. We live about an hour away, and go almost every weekend with these. In fact, we are heading over tonight for only a couple of hours to ride a couple rides and watch the fireworks at MK. Couldn't dream of doing that with the "Play 4 Days" pass, as it would cost you a whole day's admission.

If you can afford the $109 for the 4-day pass, find a way to pay the extra $80 for the seasonal pass...there is no comparison, IMO!

For those who don't know--you can buy the "play 4" and upgrade it (before it expires) to the seasonal or annual pass and pay the difference. This is great for people who can't afford it all at once or aren't sure if they'll use the SP/AP enough. I always buy the SP, but we just bought the "play 4" for my husband..........and then before it expires and before we use the last day, if he decides he'll go more we'll upgrade to the Seasonal for a price difference of about $80. Keep in mind his SP will expire one year from the first day he used the "play 4". Just a thought........oh--and if we decide we ARE crazy enough to go during the busy black-out dates, we can upgrade to an AP and pay the difference. Also, if you go a lot--the AP may be worth it for the free parking.

I have called guest services but they cannot give out 2005 blockout dates. Anyone familiar with the "history" of seasonal blockout dates? I'm wondering if I can safely make plans for the first week in June 2005. Thanks.
