I've heard you can take advantage of offers for Florida Residents as a DVC member. Annual park tickets, etc. How do you prove residency? Some offers ask for identification...

That is incorrect. The DVC ownership docs specifically state that Disney does not recognize you as a Florida resident simply because you buy into the timeshare.

DVC members do have access to some perks which are similar to FL resident benefits.

DVCMember.com usually has some of the perks listed. It's not always kept up to date, though.

When you check-in at a DVC resort you will get a small guidebook called Portable Perks (or something like that.) That has the up-to-date list of discounts members can use during their stay.

Thank you. I appreciate the info.
Counting down to my next trip in March! I see your an SSR owner, I'm looking forward to my visit there. Any inside tips/recommendations about that property?

The DVC member AP price is very close to the Florida Resident price.
That's true. If my math is right, the FL resident price is only about $10 less than the DVC price.

But the real deal for we lucky Floridians is the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass which is about $100 less than the DVC Annual Pass. There are blackout dates which don't work for every family, but they work for us!

For those inquiring about Florida-resident promotions, when you take advantage of those, you are always required to show proof of Florida residence. As noted above, DVC does not qualify for Florida resident status.
