I just found out that Florida Project Radio stopped broadcasting on Live365 on April 24th. I am going to miss that station. I liked listening to all of the soundtracks from the attractions while I am at work. There is something about hearing that monorail spiel!! It helps me to pass the time until my next trip. Oh well .... I am now giving MouseWorld Radio a try but so far it is not as good.

I had never even heard of it! I thought it was maybe a FL thing, until I saw that your from MA! Awwww, I wish I had known about it sooner. :sad2:

DisneyAddict_M,
Just go to Live365.com and become a member (it's free). You can search for Disney stations. I am currently listening to MouseWorld Radio 1. There are a bunch of other Disney related stations as well but I haven't tried them yet. Check it out....

I too was heartbroken when Florida Project Radio was gone....however I have been listening to Parkhopper radio and it's also pretty good. I can honestly say after the first couple of hours when I didn't like it (it was a change you know) that I really really like it now. It plays some of the same things and then some different stuff. Give it a try!

Thanks, Mike! I'll do that! Sure, I'm going to drive my co-workers batty, but I don't care.....some people just don't understand. ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

:hyper: The guys that sit on either side of my cube think that I should be institutionalized :hyper: They don't get it either ....

WDWorBust - thanks for the Parkhopper Radio tip. I did see that when I searched for new Disney stations. I'm still listening to MouseWorld Radio1 trying to give it a fair shot. As you experienced, I am starting to like it more and more. But I will check out Parkhopper as well.

Ok Amanda, you've convinced me. I think Parkhopper Radio is better than Mouse World Radio1. Neither one are as good as Florida Project Radio was though. Some of the audio recordings seem to be pretty bad quality - almost like they were taken off of someone's camcorder. But I am getting used to Parhopper as a substitute. Thanks.

I was really bummed out when Florida Project went away. I found MouseworldRadio 1 and that has helped. It isnt the same as Florida Project, but it is ok.

Some of the others are....

Park Hopper Radio
Tourguide Mike Radio
Sorcerer Radio:WDW
Radio Buena Vista

All are great. MouseWorld plays longer clips it seems.

Log on to Live365.com and then do a search. Add em to your favorties so you can jump around.

Enjoy.

PS. My coworkers know Im nuts about WDW and just roll with it. It took some training though.

I miss Florida Project too. I found that Main Street Megastore has a L365 station, but if you access it from their website it is commercial free. No more of the guy complaining that all the radio stations suck (boy will I miss him!!!)
The website is http://www.mainstreetmegastore.com/main_street_megastore_radio.cfm
I can't find the Parkhopper station. Can someone send a link or the exact name. I've searched parkhopper and park hopper but got nothing.

In Live365, if you search for Disney, Park Hopper Radio is the first one that comes up. Personally, I like Tour Gude Mike Radio better.

Mike-
I am still listening to parkhopper radio but there are a couple that you hear a ton of static in which sucks. But there are some things they play that florida project didn't that I really enjoy. What is tour guide mike radio? Is that a benefit of subscribing to tour guide mike?

Thanks!
Amanda

I read that you can still access Florida Radio Project if you have a prefered membership, there just won't be anymore updates.

That's what I read on the CB last week.

:teeth:

Badger Brent,

Which one of yours are only for preferred members?

Ill have to look for those.

Thanks for the info!!!

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I have checked out Tour Guide Mike Radio (Amanda - it is a regular station on Live 365 available to anyone) but they only seem to play Disney songs. I'm checking out Mainstreet Megastore Radio and they only appear to play music from the CDs that they sell. I'm more interested in hearing the sounds from the parks like Florida Project Radio used to play (the monorail spiel, the complete ride soundtrack for Splash Mountain, Spectromagic, Jammin Jungle Parade, etc.) The closest to FPR that I have found are Parkhopper Radio and Mouse World Radio1. And of those two, I like PH better - but it is still no FPR.

As I am typing this Spectromagic started playing on Mainstreet Megastore Radio. So they do play some of the soundtracks from the parades and shows (ie Fantasmic, Illuminations, TOD, etc.) So I'll check it out a little longer.

I, too, have a subscription... about $13.00 every three months... I think that it is worth it... MANY other cool stations also.

Here are my presets:

FREE STATIONS
1. ºoº MouseWorld Radio 1
2. D-Magic Radio
3. Disney Hannah's way
4. Disney Tunes
5. DisneyRob Radio Live -
6. E Ticket Radio
7. INTERCOT Radio
8. Lion King & More
9. Main Street Megastore
10. MouseInfo Radio
11. Park Hopper Radio
12. Radio Buena Vista
13. Sorcerer Radio
14. The Haunted Mansion
15. TourGuideMiKE RADiO
16. Visions Fantastic

SUBSCRIPTION STATIONS
1. ºoº MouseWorld Radio 2
2. ºoº MouseWorld Radio 3
3. ºoº MouseWorld Radio X
4. ºoºMouseWorld Radio X2
5. ClubWD Radio
6. Disney Magic
7. Disney Music
8. Disneyfan's W.O.D
9. Disneymagic.net
10. MouseTyme Radio
11. The D Place

I really like ºoºMouseWorld Radio X and X2 for abient sounds... it plays long (about an hour) background music that you hear in various areas. Right now there is big band music from MGM Studios. The Pizzafari area loop is very good also.

Of the few that I knew about, Florida Project was the best. I listen to Sorcerer mainly now. However, I've only searched "disney", and it seems there are quite a few more stations that I was unaware of.

I too loved Florida Project Station on Live365..I am a Preferred Member and I like to listen to Theme Park Radio, which I have not seen anyone mention. It has Disney tracks but also some Universal stuff too...:)

Fan or Badger (or anyone else), if possible, can you put some links in for some of those stations. I've run a search for The Haunted Mansion, E-ticket, Intercot, Disney Tunes, and others and either nothing comes up, or it only pulls up Sorcerer, Tourguide Mike, Radio Buena Vista, i.e. ones I already have.

I like to listen to D-Magic. Every night at 8:30 they play the preshow for illuminations (followed by illuminations). That is the only place I've found it. And since it is scheduled I know when to tune in.
