What a day!! First we were under a tornado watch for 6 hours, then we had a thunderstorm that lasted off and on for nearly 4 hours. ACK, then the rain, rain, rain came down, down, down!!

Right now it's quiet but not for long. There's another strong cell headed our way. Our lights keep blinking off and on and they spotted a tornado signature in the southeast part of our county on Fox news.

At least we didn't get it as bad as the areas around Tampa. A Bed, Bath and Beyond store had part of their roof collapse and another place up there had nearly 15 INCHES of rain.

Welcome to sunny Florida. :p

It's been raining lightly on and off here in PB county, but nothing major. But it is cloudy and stormy looking, and we were under a tornado warning about an hour ago.

Oh yeah........I am in the area of Pinellas County that got upwards of 15 inches of rain! only a few miles south of me they only got 2 inches.Besides the Bed,Bath and Beyond store there has been 3 other buildings that their roofs collapsed. The Bus line also stopped running for awhile, it has been one heck of a day! My yard looked like a lake! Many cars are stalled in the streets and some homes have been flooded in the Pinellas Park area.

Checking in from Daytona Beach! I saw that St Pete mess on the local news too! Yikes! They couldn't even start the rescue ops because the parking lot was so flooded!

We really haven't been hit here by anything too bad (yet!), just a few strong storms, but have gotten lots of badly needed rain!

And just think - hurricane season starts in June and we'll get to go through that all over again way too soon!:sad2: The local news says the La Nina means that this season will be really bad - let's hope not!

I'm heading down there in a week, y'all better get it together or I'm going to have to make Mother Nature an offer she can't refuse! :furious:

It was pretty insane today, although I didn't even get it as bad as Pinellas---they said on the news that some parts got up to 10" of rain! And here I was thinking my 4.5" was pretty bad. :rotfl:

We caught the storm in enough of a lull to run errands at lunch, but while at Target, the rain was coming down so hard & fast, they ended up with a leak in the store. After hearing the story about BB&B, I'm thankful it wasn't anything worse!

Florida's winter was up here today. :teeth: It was 72 degrees in Chesapeake at 4:00. :teeth: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I wonder how warm it got today.

It has been horrible today. Suppose to be more of the same tomorrow..... :scared1: Everytime I think the rain has stopped, a downpour begins. Kinda seems tropical.

9 more days to SUNNY FL :sunny:

Cannot wait, hey rain is better than COLD and SNOW, and we've been lucky to get mostly rain! :teeth:

:3dglasses visions of Muppets in my brain..................lol!

Checking in from a sopping wet Lake Tohopekaliga!!!

Rainy and thundery (is that a word?) all day today and continuing tonight... I think we are finally getting a dry spell right now so I'll sneak the dogs outside.

Unbelievably, our HOA-controlled sprinklers came on at 5:00 tonight. I guess the HOA thinks we weren't muddy enough!

Hope everyone in Tampa dries out soon!

Pray for :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Yes, it has been a really gross day. It sounds like tomorrow won't be great either!

According to the News Guy, we had More rain yestreday than we had all during the last Rainy season... Scary huh? This is supposed to be the --DRY-- season. Today was cool, and it rained in the morning but by late afternoon it was lovely.

Stay safe all of our florida friends. :grouphug:

It was a wild day and a half. It's a shame we are really dry or really wet. A nice sprinkle every now and then would be nice.

I was just outside this morning and it was clear and cold, 48 degrees! I hope it stays like this all day long. I really like the cold weather. But this is Florida, it will warm up before the day is over. I think today will be a nice day. :sunny:

We still have standing water in the yard. Tornado touched down about 10mi from our house. Cleared out yesterday afternoon though. It was 37 degrees when I left for work this morning.

Anyone from the Lady Lake or The Villages area? wondering how my sis made out with the weather the past few days..

Thank goodness she decided to have a brand new roof put on her place immediately after she bought it!

It's beautiful today. :sunny:

That would be spring jacket weather for us. I just took some pictures outside with all of our snow, I will try to post in a few minutes.

What a beautiful day today...a nice break from the past couple of days!!!
