I am thinking of booking for Florida next year for 2 weeks but really have no idea how much it will cost

We are a family of 4, Two adult and two children 7 and 4

Where is best place to book and what is a reasonable price to pay including everything i.e park tickets

not interest in car hire would prefer all arrangements to be made already i.e transfer from airport to hotel

Hope you can help

cheers :confused3

I know a lot of people on here like Travel City Direct or Virgin Holidays for booking but it certainly pays to shop around. The same could be said of park tickets. Again, there are lots of deals and a tour operator might not offer you the best VFM. As for not hiring a car, my own personal opinion is that you won't get the most out an Orlando holiday without a car.

Hi djkr2004,
For a family of 4, you could pay anything from £1500 upwards to £4,000+
It all depends who you want to fly with, and where you want to stay.
I agree with Andru, to get the best out of Orlando/Florida, you need to drive.
You could shop around with tour operators (high street or on line) if you want a complete package or book each part of your holiday separately.
I found some flights (on www.flghtsandnights.com) less than £125 including taxes.
Good luck with your planning.

We have booked through TCD and as none of us can drive or would be old enough to hire a car in the states we're staying in Disney and have booked transfers to/from Sanford.

We are paying about £2350 for 3 adults and the following holiday:
-preferred room at All Star Movies
-return flights Manchester/Sanford
-transfers

and we're travelling 23rd June, returning 7th/8th July...so as the prices are starting to go up...if you can go a couple of weeks earlier than that you could get it just under the £2000 when we booked.

I think we're gonna be getting 14 day Ultimates direct from Disney unless TCD will do a price match, and we're considering the dining plan seeing as we want to do a fair bit of character dining and wont be venturing off property.

Also looking at travel insurance from Go.com (i think thats what it's called...confused.com found it for me!)...and erm...yeah i think thats about it for package...the rest is expenses outside of what the travel agent can offer!

Hope that helps!

If you stay onsite in one of the Disney resorts you can manage very well without a car for visiting the Disney parks. Ditto in a Universal resort for Universal Studios, Islands of adevnture and SeaWorld.

If you stay offsite then a car, although certainly not essential, will make park visiting much easier.

As for getting the best price - there's no easy answer, just a lot of questions! ;) Have fun, and enjoy your planning :)
