Florida in February

We went last Feb and were in shorts & tank tops for 5 of the 7 days. Our second last day we both had dance tights on under our shorts & thin sweaters on and were still warm enough.

The last day, same thing, and we were actually shivering quite a bit during the afternoon. You should be okay in shorts and a warm sweater, but definitely bring pants with you too!

I was there in early Jan when temperatures were dipping to 1 degree celcius, and even 10 degrees feels warm here in the middle of winter, it's makes for a chilly Florida!

Im going feb 20-28 for the Princess Half marathon - I can't wait! anything will be better than the temps here...although I just moved to Calgary from Ontario so I really cant complain..all those poor folks out east have had it rough with snow and cold temps

I think layers are the best strategy for February, but I'm sure you guys will be fine. We have gone in January and February before and always had pretty good weather. Jeans and a sweatshirt were the most we ever needed, and we're not even Canucks! We just moved up here, but even coming from Utah it was super warm.

It is funny though, because you'll see such a wide range of clothing in the parks. All the Southerners are wearing parkas and we were in shorts!

All this talk of February and the nasty cold we've been having.......and I just booked airfare for Feb 8-17.

You folks are enablers!!

Here's hoping for some nice hottub weather!

I am there 9-16 and very much looking forward to the sun and no snow.

We're booked for the 5:15pm flight. How about you.

8am but if it's cancelled I might be on yours lol

A lot of Americans are talking about and worried about cancellations. Is this normal? I've flown in all kinds of weather being from Canada. It never even crossed my mind as cancellations are rare here. Is it the norm in the US?

We've mostly always flown out of Buffalo. Even took us over 3 hours in a massive blizzard to get to Buffalo which normally was a 1 hour drive and we still flew out !! And that was in January 2 years ago.

I have however always had flight delays out of Toronto, so annoying when your up at 2am, at airport 3am for a 6am flight to be delayed 5 hours. So annoying.

Buffalo never an issue. We fly out of Buffalo at 10am on the 22nd !! Can't wait!!!!!!!:cool1:
