Has anybody heard of or used a Florida 'Fun In the Sun' ticket? This ticket is valid for 30 consecutive days to all of the Disney theme parks, a character breakfast and entry to five other Florida attractions. The price of this is $601 Australian dollars, (about $360 U.S. dollars). This seems to be extremely good value, but our source of information is very low in detail. If anyone knows if this is a legitimate offer or if they have used this ticket or if they know of any unusual requirements or restrictions relating to this offer could they please post to this board or to barryc1@austarnet.com.au
Many thanks

Where do they sell this ticket?

Yes,
We just bought two of these tickets here in Germany. Over here they cost €309 each ($259 for kids 3-9), which is about $340 at the present exchange rate.
The ticket covers 30 days of full access to all Disney parks, including the waterparks, Disney Quest and the Wide World of Sports.
Additionally you have 30 days admission to the Kennedy Space the Ford/Edison Winterhomes, the Miami SeaquariumCenter, the Everglades Safaripark and the Dali Museum.
And one character-breakfast per person at select Disney-restaurants is also included.

I think it is an unbeatable deal as it is only marginally more expensive than a 5-Day-Plus-Hopper, but rids of thinking where and when to spend your Plus-features.
It can also be combined with a stay at a Disney-resort, entitling you to all the additional perks like Early Entry and E-Nights (E-Nite costing extra, but available for resort-guest only).

Isn't the Web great? DownUnder and the Old Continent meeting in the New World ;)

We bought 4 2 adults 2 kids
we ordered them on the 7th of March and received them on the 11 th
We ordered from Paramount International Travel. They were very fast and nice on the phone. Theses are the perfect tickets for our trip in June

Thanks guys. I e-mailed them and, for the benefit of everyone else, here is the reply:

We still have the Florida Fun in the Sun tickets available. The price per adult is $310.00 and children ages 3 - 9 is $250.00 plus a delivery fee of $30.00. If you are interest to buy them you could send your information by email or calling us at 407-472-0008 Ext. 217.

Our alternative was premium annual passes at $520 each but with no guarantee of going back within the year then for me this looks very attractive.

Now does anyone know of anywhere cheaper than this please :-)

can you buy these and have them shipped to us address?

I just called PT and was told they do send these out to the US. You do not recieve tickets though, you receive vouchers that have to be turned in for tickets. The voucher that you recieve has an expiration date of 5/04. My worry is turning in the voucher for a ticket and not being from the UK. I am going to pass on these because I am a scardy cat! Has anyone from the US gone through the process of turning them in at WDW and getting the tickets?

When TicketMania offered the "Fun in the Sun" pass to Mousesavers newsletter subscribers in October 2002, I ordered 4 adult vouchers from them. I asked if they could be used for US citizens and they assured me that these vouchers were some released to US market but they only had a limited amount. The offer only lasted one day and TicketMania withdrew the offer. TicketMania told me it was because other ticket vendors were complaining because they (the other vendors) did not have any for US residents.

I was a nervous wreck worrying about the Fun in the Sun vouchers. I saw that on other sites that the requirements for turning in the vouchers for passes was a passport. But the vouchers I had said nothing about passports only IDs. We used the Fun in the Sun tickets with absolutely no problems in November. The ID that we showed them for redeeming the vouchers were Texas drivers licenses. (My teen sons had no ID but were under 18 and didn't need ID)

So my suggestion is to look at the back of the vouchers when you get them and see if it says passport required. If not, you should have no problems using them. If it does say passport required on the back, well, I cannot tell you if you can use them or not.

Bev,
Did they have expiration dates and did you get breakfest vouchers with them? Thanks for the reassurance!

I just replied to an e-mail from Muffy and then read the last few replies here.
So ...
First, the tickets were mailed to us at Grand Canyon, AZ FROM Orlando, FL - we got a laugh out of that.

The tickets state on them, "For admission to the parks or attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort listed below, present this voucher at any Ticket Booth, together with a current photo ID an you will receive your Florida Fun in the Sun Pass. This voucher and/or pass is valid for thirty (30) days starting with the first day of use at ANY of the Theme Parks or attractions listed."
Our vouchers have an expiration date on them of May 31, 2004.
Each voucher is marked for either adult or child.

The breakfast CERTIFICATE is ATTACHED. It does not state whether it is for an adult or child.
But does say, "This certificate is valid for one (1) breakfast at a participating restaurant located withing the WAlt Disney World Resort and includes choice of one (1) jusice, one (1) entree, one (1) bakery item and one (1) hot beverage or if available, one (1) full breakfast buffet.
Priority seating recommended. Does not include tax and gratuity or any of the extras.

Hope this helps.
Michele

It seems like the expiration dates were on the Breakfast vouchers only but I'm not sure. We had no problem using the breakfast vouchers. We used them at Boatwrights at POR.

The only glitch at all with the ticket vouchers is that the other attractions listed on the vouchers (like NASA, etc.) were on the back of the ticket voucher. We had to turn in the vouchers to get the real tickets at WDW. Maybe the CM at Epcot ticket counter didn't know what to do, but she took our vouchers. This was no problem for us as we were not planning on going to any other place but WDW.

Thank you everyone! I just ordered 3 of these passes for 945.00 shipped. I am happy with my decision and familar with Rosa at PT as we bought 10 day passes from PT last year. You guys were a big help with my decision to buy these vouchers! We really didn't want to buy an AP as we will not be back within a year. The 10 day pass did not have enough days on it as we are planning a 2 week vacation. The 30 day florida fun in the Sun pass is perfect.

I was just wondering if anyone has recently ordered these from the US and if it states a passport on the back is needed. I have written them and they are very quick in response, which is great, and they say that only an id is required to change the voucher to tickets. I would like to be reassured from someone here that it doesn't specify a passport on the vouchers.
thanks

Grand Canyon said that hers from Paramount said: "For admission to the parks or attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort listed below, present this voucher at any Ticket Booth, together with a current photo ID and you will receive your Florida Fun in the Sun Pass. That is also what mine said that I ordered last year from Ticket Mania. Neither GC nor mine asked for a passport only an ID.

thank you Bev for the quick response. I guess I will order 4 for myself. They seem to be a better deal than the 10day.

I know it is worrisome to order them. I was very nervous myself. The evening I arrived, I insisted that we catch the first bus going to any park that came even though the parks were closing in an hour. The first bus was going to Epcot so we hopped on. We went to the ticket booth there and got our REAL tickets. Then we went though the gate at Epcot to do our finger scan, walked in, turned around and walked out. I was that worried that the tickets/vouchers wouldn't work.

Just a little something else for you to worry about but the CM at Epcot was out of the Fun in the Sun tickets and she asked if she could give us the 10-Day world pass instead or we could go to another park to get the FITS tickets. This wasn't a problem for us as we were only at the parks for 8 days.

Also, realize that paramount has an outlet in Orlando. Take their phone number and their address in Orlando. If there is any problem call them and I am sure they will do something for you. I told them at TicketMania that if I had any problem that I would be calling them. They said that would be fine and they would make sure that I got replacement tickets that were equal or better.
