Doing a stay later this week for SWW on-site. My relatives, living in Florida, got Florida Resident discount tickets with park hopper and water parks on will call. (They're leaving Saturday so we're ok with the 6/7 and on black out date). I tied everything through on the MDE system 'coz I'm good with them new fangled computer-thingys...

The tickets are bound to their magic bands and their resort reservation is under their name as well.

I've done some searching around but haven't come up with solid answers yet -

Two questions:
1> Can they have their tickets activated when they show ID at the resort when they check-in? (I believe the answer to this is still no but I find it kind of odd because the Credit Card address was already verified and they'll have to verify again at the resorts anyway when they check in... In a paper and pencil world that made sense but in an FP+MDE world that seems oddly redundant)
2> Our first stop is planned to be Blizzard Beach just after they show up. Can they verify their identify at the water parks or must we still stop off at TTC or one of the "real" parks to do that first?
Okay, let make that 3> If we need to go to TTC, can we pick up a bus from there to go to BB?

Thanks all! T minus 5 days...

1. They can ask at the resort Concierge Desk. (Which is a "Will Call" location for non-AP tickets.)

2. Water Parks ticket booths/Guest Relations can handle it, too.

3. Nope. But, there is zero need to visit TTC for anything.

TTC is no longer a "center of operations."
"Will Call" can be handled at any ticket booth or Guest Relations outside any theme park, water park, DTD…and yes, at TTC.

Thanks!

When did they "demote" the TTC? Just recently?

TTC has not been a "central transportation hub" for well over a decade.

Ever since they built DHS and DAK and all of the many resorts
that are distant from MK and EPCOT, and the WDW Resort bus terminal
at the MK gates, TTC is no longer the center of WDW transportation.

It is now principally the MK parking lot and the exchange junction for the 3 monorail loops.

TTC still has some ticket booths and Guest Relations, but so do all the gate areas of all of the parks and DTD.

What does this mean?

In the past (1970's-eary 1990's,) TTC was the central junction of WDW
transportation and a major ticket center.

That's well diminished now (see my post just above) and there are very very few WDW buses that terminate at TTC anymore.

Even the buses between DHS and MK and those between DAK and MK no longer
travel to/from TTC, but terminate at the MK gates bus area.

Is this new? I've never been able to activate a Florida ticket anywhere but the parks. I have an AP but when my daughter goes with me (usually in early Spring) she gets the Discover Ticket (what they named it this year). At check in during our March trip CM asked if we needed tickets and when we said the Florida Discover ticket she told us we'd need to buy it at the parks.

The resort concierge desk has always been a "Will Call" location.
But, they can't do ALL "Will Call" tickets.

That's why I said, "They can ASK."

I don't know which other limitations apply (except, as I said, they cannot do any AP's.)

TTC has not been a "central transportation hub" for well over a decade.

That would explain it - I have a friend that works in the parks and a mutual group of friends and I would go there in the 90s and we could never figure out the transportation system and to get from point a to point b. He was always telling us that we could get to anywhere so long as we made our way back to the TTC.

For the record the club level concierge people at the CR said they could NOT activate the tickets at the resort and I had to do it at the parks.

Which I did and was mostly painless except I got a CM at will call at BB who seemed confused that I had to activate the Florida Resident Discount tickets on the band and kept saying something along the lines of it wasn't possible or those tickets didn't count or something. Finally she read one of the bands and then "discovered" that they were new Florida Resident Discount tickets that she was unaware of... uh-huh, which is why she correctly told me at the beginning of the conversation that they were expiring in 2 days... because she wasn't aware of them... :sad2:
(I think she thought they weren't valid at the water parks but I had added the park hopper/water parks to the tickets...)
