Florida AP holders

My wife and I moved to the central Florida area this past spring. One of the first things we did, after getting our Florida drivers license, was to buy two Platinum (no blackout's) AP's. We also purchased the Tables in Wonderland dining discount plan. Almost immediately, our adult children and families joined us for a week at the parks, so we used the AP's and the TiW then. Since June, we've decided to do one afternoon/evening a month, having dinner at a different restaurant, and utilizing the FP+ system to do the attractions we want along with each parks night time show. We don't want to get burnt out, but still feel like we're getting our money's worth.

I live 3 hours away and have been an AP holder since 1997. I was a seasonal till 2006 then became a full annual. I just went to the Gold because of the $100 price increase this past year. I am now paying what I was for the full annual and have Christmas & Easter blocked out. I go on an average of every 6 to 8 weeks for a long weekend. Over the summer I go anywhere from 2 to 5 weeks, all depends on funds.

we live too far away to really go for an evening, at 90 minutes one way. Thought we'd rush and get passes right away when we moved in May, but we havent even been once yet! But I think its the weather. Are trying to get tickets for the Space X launch early Sept, so will go for over night over there and go to one of the parks. And get our passes then.

My sister & I live in Clearwater. We live about ~1 hour. Usually go about 2-3 times a months, sometimes more if we get the same days off from work.

We are looking at a move to Tampa next year, so I'm glad to know it's an easy little hop back and forth! We are all over the place with which area of Tampa to live in, though! So many options and so much information to consider!

yeah the 90 minute drive wasn't bad- but you gotta beware of rush hour and tampa and allot extra time if necessary :)

My girlfriend and I have been AP Holders for 3 years now and are up for renewal to one of the new tiered passes. We would actually like the photopass perk but would also like to save a bit of money. We're only about 1.5 hours away in Sarasota so we don't go in the summer anyway since it's so stifling hot but we go to all the party events. So I was thinking we could get a gold pass and a silver pass to both save money and get the perk of photo downloads. Does anyone know if this is doable as long as we just don't go on the silver pass block out dates and always make sure they scan the gold pass band. It seems like a solid plan, no?

I've had the Disney seasonal/silver pass, the Universal preferred AP and the Sea World/Busch Gardens platinum AP for like 15-20 years and up until 5 weeks ago I lived in Miami and would do about 10-14 trips a year probably spending 30-40 days a year in Orlando. Some months I would do multiple trips, like October for F&W and Halloween Horror nights and some months like during the summer would have no trips.Five weeks ago I moved exactly 4 minutes behind Magic Kingdom, like I can see all the fireworks from Epcot,DHS and MK from my room.Since I moved during a silver block out period I couldn't go to Disney until Aug 12th but went several times to Sea World,Busch and Universal, since August 12th I probably have gone to Disney 6-7 times, probably when Food and Wine starts 3-4 weekly visits to Epcot to see the concerts will probably be the norm.
