hi all,
first i have depressing news kinda of, In feb me,dw,ds are going to wdw.my mom and aunt are comming with us.here's the depressing part,my aunt who lives in flordia has never been to wdw.And yes she lives 2 hours away for the last 10 years.can you even imagine that!this is where you come in residents.how can she book a flordia resident discount?she hates computers,
1. can she book it over the phone?
2.would i be able to book it via the disney website for her,do i need any kind of info like driver lic # or proof that she lives in fla other than drivers lic at check in.or would she only be allowed to book it since she is the resident?
4.is there a deposit required piror to arrival or can they pay in full when they arrive there.
5. she is the resident of fla,and staying in the room,my mom who is not a resident will be staying there with her, there is no problem with that i imagine right?
6.anything else i/she should know when booking or checking in??

No problem........if you go to the web site you can log in uncer FL residents just put in her zip code, she will be able to show proof at check in. It is also no problem for her to have a guest in the room whether or not they are from FL. Deposits are done the same way as normal, either you can put in a credit card number or you can have them mail the info and you have a certain amt. of time to make the deposit.
The other way is she can also call and do the same thing if there is a code for that time period, I don't recall you putting in the dates but I think there is a FL resident discount during that time.
Another way she can book is also through AAA if she is a member.

hi,yes thanks! yes i already got a code. code- BKD the dates are feb 6-feb 15 for me.i got a pass holder discount.they are coming in this time frame just not 100% when they are arriving yet.

I will answer this the best I can with what I know from experience. Your aunt will have to book the room in her name or if someone else does it for her, her information will have to be used. You may want to call Disney first before booking, because from what I have heard, all adults in the party have to show Florida ID upon check in. I know that is a fact for any FL resident discounted tickets purchased, but you may want to verify that is also the case for everyone staying in a discounted room. The deposit requirements are the same as if you were traveling out of state. Sorry I could not be 100% on the room info, but I usually call Disney first if I have any questions about a discount and I have never been given wrong info. Enjoy your trip!!!

I have never had to show proof that all people in the room were FL residents only me (the person who books the room) Is this something new? They just ask the persons name upon booking and that is it..........even when I check in they didn't ask the other person for ID, at least it was this way still the end of Oct.

I haven't used a FL resident discount since last year, so maybe they have changed the policy. I know in the past they told us when we booked over the phone that all adults in the room had to show ID and my husband and I handed ours over upon check in. A few years ago, we we not able to buy annual passes for ours kids unless they were with us, which I thought was ridiculous. Yes, I actually had to show them my kids!!!

Hi. I have just been informed that only the person who holds the reservation in their name needs to be a FL resident, not all the adults. Hope that helps.
