Hello everybody! I have my flowers through disney floral and wasn't planning on having flowers for the flower girls. They aren't going to throw them anyway. Is there a rule or anything about outside floral for escape weddings? I am not in a park. We are looking to just get simple flowers for them the day of from an outside, we will pick them up. Does Disney allow this?

Disney prohibits you from bringing in your own floral and decor at outdoor locations EXCEPT for personal floral. So bouquets or flowers for the the flower girls would be OK. They also let you bring in your own aisle petals, but you have to put them down yourself. :thumbsup2

Lurkyloo,
Do you mean outside locations (in Themeparks only)?? Can you bring your own floral (for centerpieces or decorations, etc..), if you're having a wedding at the Wedding Pavilion and one of the ballrooms?? I also thought you could use an outside florist as well. I'm a little confused. :confused3 THANKS!!! :goodvibes

Outdoor locations EVERYWHERE prohibit non-Disney floral/decor vendors - even at the resorts. But since the Wedding Pavilion and ballrooms are indoors, you can use a non-Disney vendor there. :thumbsup2

And, of course, you can have non-Disney vendors do your personal floral (bouquets, boutonnieres, etc.) no matter where your event is held. :)

For real? So at Sea Breeze Point I could bring in bouquets for bridesmaids and have someone lay a ton of flower petals down? Will DFTW bar this from happening? When I inquired the tone made it sound as if this couldn't be done? Thanks. :confused3

Yes, personal floral is OK, and flower petals are OK - you would just run into problems if you wanted any other kind of decor, like swagging and altar arrangements and chair covers. They say it's because they don't want people passing by to think that Disney did a crummy job if it was actually done by some outside florist.

I'm still waiting to hear back from Rosie, but in your opinion would they allow me to have an outside florist add the flowers to be tied in the bow on the chair covers Disney is supplying? It would be similar to the picture below:

I think that they will probably balk at the idea of an outside florist doing anything, I'm sad to say, because they might construe it as you trying to "get away with" using an outside florist for a substantial portion of your floral. It's different if one of your bridesmaids goes and throws down aisle petals or an outside florist just delivers your bouquets to your hotel room.

Do ask, though - I hope I am being too cynical! :) But if they say no, could you have one of your family members or friends put the roses in the bows?
