Floaties

This was my interpretation as well (that it's a list of three distinct things). But I have no personal experience here, that's just my interpretation of reading that sentence.

I think if they meant the Coast Guard Approved only applied to personal flotation devices, they would have listed that last in the trio. It being listed first indicates that it applies to all 3.

The policy quoted by PrincessShmoo says that water wings are allowed.

I read it as 3 separate items: (1) Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices; (2) water wings; (3) flotation sewn into bathing suits.
I read it as (1) Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices; (2) water wings and flotation sewn into bathing suits. Not arm floaties, as they are neither Coast Guard approved, nor sewn into bathing suits.

These are floaties:

This is a Coast Guard approved flotation vest (sometimes called "floaties"):

Great point; we use those for my 6 year old who, after a couple of years of swim lessons, still somehow sinks like a stone.
Some people just don't have as much natural buoyancy as most of us. My mom was like that, she even sank in Great Salt Lake
