I'm thinking of asking my husband to get me a flip video camera for christmas... if you don't know what it is .. check this out:
http://www.theflip.com/
here's my dillema.
I already have a really nice canon powershot S3 IS. I love it and it takes great photos. It is a little bulky for carrying around though and when I want to upload photos I have a cord I have to plug into the camera and then into the computer. I have done small videos on it but have trouble with getting the videos onto youtube or just saving them and knowing how to post them again etc. (I'm really not tech savy AT ALL). Also, I can't take long videos on the camera. Well, I can, but I just have to buy more memory cards for it basically.
so I want the flip because I want to take videos.. I want to use it for our upcoming disney and mexico trips but I also was thinking next year when I get pregnant I could film my pregnancy and put it up on youtube for my family back in texas to watch, and of course once we have a baby we will be taking tons of pictures and video.
should I get a flip though even though I already have a nice camera? will it be worth it? the flip can hold 1 hour of video I believe. (I really wish it could hold more though).
anyone out there have a flip yet and what do you think of it? do you really use it a lot? is it as easy as it seems to upload? can someone who doesn't know much about tech stuff do it?
and one last question... are there any other video cameras out there that are similar to the flip but cheaper? and the same quality?
thanks so much everyone!!!!
